Overview
Picturesque School House Retreat is nestled amongst the rolling hills of Grey County and surrounded by 2.75 acres of secluded grounds. Free WiFi is available throughout the house. This self-catering holiday home is almost 100 years old and retains much of its original charm. The old school room is now the living and dining area, and features the original black chalk boards. The rest of the house is furnished with soothing interior decor and boasts impressive views of the surrounding landscape. The house offers a well-equipped, country-style kitchen as well as an outdoor propane barbecue with covered seating area. Towels, bed linens and basic toiletries are provided at no additional cost. The popular towns of Meaford and Thornbury are less than 15 minutes' drive away. The shops, bars and restaurants of Blue Mountains Village can be found within 30 km.

“Good value for money”
The host was very nice and the location was good, wi-fi was good too. It is definitely a nice place for country lovers.

“Great place to enjoy some downtime in the country and still be short drives to lots of nice sites”
Great property if you want to get away from it all, while still being short 10-15min drives to charming small towns and Georgian Bay. Lots to see and do in the area. The pdf guidebook aimed us at some great places to visit. Having a full kitchen and a dedicated fridge, with BBQ, meant we ate in a lot and just relaxed without having to eat out if we didn't want to. Large clean place with a lot of charm. Getting "serenaded" by the neighbours cattle once or twice a day added to the country feel.
