“Peaceful and rewarding stay”

Very peaceful and I love that by staying here you are supporting their community work (health centre & orphanage). Had everything we needed. The staff were so lovely and the food was delicious.

Relaxing and welcoming space after a long day! Hot water was fantastic. Fantastic homemade food which was delicious. If you are lucky you might find an avocado from the tree for your breakfast!

Wonderful natural environment, quiet, spacious rooms

Everything was good, the location is approximately 7 KM out of Mbale city center and it's quiet and so beautiful, Bingi is there for you, she is amazing and helpful. And they are doing a great job, if you have time to have a tour of the compound you will be amazed.

Amazing hospitality, great breakfast, clean and functional rooms

A beautiful and calm place, you can only hear birds and crickets. The staff was very friendly, helpful and they were very flexible regarding the time for breakfast. The breakfast and dinner was also very delicious! Can highly recommend staying there! I will come again! :)

“An amazing place to stay and feel at home”

We travelled with students for a school project. We stayed here for 5 nights. The hotel is based on a sort of campus of SALEM international. With a fence and gate. Also with a guard at the gate which made us feel safe. The staff is very friendly and willing to help. The rooms are large and have large beds as well. In the garden there are lots of places to sit in the shadow. The bar closes early, but when you ask at the gate if you can ahve some drinks, the lady came and helped us. That was really kind. And also staying here gave us a good feeling, because by staying at SALEM, you also support the organisation and all the people from the community that are in need of help and support.

I liked everything at Saleem staff are fantastic Driver Abdul was absolutely amazing. The Director was amazing very knowledgable about the project he is peoples person. He wii run a mile for you as a guest.

Bingi was just amazing and made us feel very welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. This is a little oasis of calm set in beautiful surroundings and just what we needed after coming from Kampala.

The hospital with the guesthouse is in a real nice peaceful environment in the shadow of old trees. Outside the compound you look out over the hills. Everybody was very kind and accomodating.
