good location, really can't be beat in this town. nice space, if you want to chill out as a backpacker they have a courtyard for that, you can walk to anything in mazunte and you're literal steps to a collectivo to take you to other towns along the coast. the nightlife in the area is solid with street parties and random events at local bars. it is a 5minute walk straight down the main road to the beach and a 10-15min walk up the hill to Punta Cometa. check-in was fine and there is no curfew/time you need to be back before they lock the gates or anything. great spot to stay.

“Good value for money and helpful staff”

The staff was helpful and allowed us to leave our bags on the last day, and use the communal shower after the beach. The room was basic but had everything we needed. The bed was comfortable and the fan was great quality - strong enough to keep us cool even with the mosquito net in place. Free purified water on tap (downstairs).

“Disappointing”

As many before me have mentioned- while this place is okay, it is not good value for money. What you are paying for = location. However the facilities are equivalent to that of a budget hostel… but without budget prices. I had the private room with shared bathroom, which left much to be desired. Even some of the cheapest budget hostels I’ve stayed in have had better bathroom facilities. The bathroom is an open area directly next to the common space with seating/hammocks, so there is no privacy. Even worse- the door to the stall of the shower is so short anyone over 5”5 tall could see over it, not to mention the huge cracks in the side of it. Truly no privacy, and to make matters worse the shower head is a very leaky, broken one with barely a trickle of cold water coming down. Washing my hair was out of question as it would take too long. Not even the lower faucet had much water coming through which made washing sand off your feet after returning from the beach a real mission. As mentioned by others, the private room is upstairs so not in close proximity to the single bathroom stall. It states AC but there is definitely NO AC, only a fan, and the power gets shut off during the day. Lastly, check in desk is closed after 3 pm and you have to call them with your own phone to be checked in- so if you don’t have a phone plan this is something to consider. I was not spoken to or greeted once by staff here other than the security guard who was on when I arrived at 8 pm, and no one spoke any English, so you’re really on your own. If I could go back in time, I would have booked somewhere else as this was not worth the price despite the alluring way it presents coming off the street.

The room is really nicely decorated, also the shared bathroom, I had. I was in the only room without a bathroom. Everything was clean. Perfect location, since very close to the beach.

This place is super close to the beach and there are many nice cafes on this street. Everything was as described. We loved Mazunte!

Clean, has Aircon and is very pretty! It's good if you want to be in the centre. They were very good with any booking changes. Relaxing vibe to it with hammocks and eco friendly.

What a lovely little place! Situated i the heart of Mazunte, this hotel is on one of the main streets with lots of shops and restaurants and only a short walk to the beach. Slightly set back off the road so no issues with noise overnight. AC works great. Clean and comfortable. Let us leave our bags until 3pm on day of check-out.
