“Probably Mazars best”

The staff were very friendly and made my stay very comfortable. The room is clean and has all the amenities you'd need. Wifi is mostly reliable and the aircon works well too.

Staff very helpfull

I agree with all previous reviews. This is a nice hotel in the heart of Mazar-i-Sharif. There are also affordable cafes nearby that serve traditional Afghan cuisine. The famous Blue Mosque is not far, either. I stayed in a single room, which had a comfortable bed, air conditioning, a TV set, a wardrobe, bottles of drinking water and snacks put on the room's desk. There was always hot water in the shower. Breakfast was quite modest: an omelette or fried eggs, traditional Afghan flatbread, jam, heated milk, instant coffee or tea with sugar, cheese that can be spread on bread, and almonds or cashews, but it was delicious and filling. I would like to express my especial gratitude to the hotel manager and an employee called Waheed for their personal kind assistance during my trip.

Very kind staf

We had a very good time in Rahat. Stayed there for a week to rest. Super friendly and helpful reception(Wahid) and door guard (Habibullah). They were so polite and warm. Wahid also speaks good english. Good wifi. Rooms were acceptable. Western toilet. Heater. Warm water (limited). Towels were soft with shampoo packet and soap and were packed in a plastic which was a good hygiene method. They provide good breakfast and evening tea/snack. Location is very good. Walkable distance to the market and shrine (if you don't mind a bit of a walk, else you can take tuk²). There's a supermarket down the road about 400m. They have a private gated carpark which is safe and we just walked or tuk² around town. The main is always locked for safety but someone is always guarding the door. The inner door to the reception and rooms is like a metal vault. They have a nice Toshkandi Restaurant next door which is very convenient. Will stay there again if I return.

“Top place to stay in Mazar. Highly recommend”

Great staff here. The manager speaks fluent English so it’s easy to sort things out. They even let me arrive at 5am even though checkin wasn’t until the afternoon, which saved me from being stranded in Afghanistan alone in the dark after a night bus. Decent breakfast too. They give you a lot to choose from. Also a great location 10 minutes walking distance from the Blue Mosque.

Good breakfast, location, clean.

This hotel is a reasonable choice for a middle level traveller. The staff, especially Habib, the doorman and odd jobs guy are helpful and very good. I really liked the breakfast, even if it was the same for six mornings. My rooms were generally comfortable but there was water leaking onto the floor everytime they were used. The hotel has a good restaurant and there are lots if others nearby. Travellers to Afghanistan should be aware that there is a new rule that you are required to have and pay for a guide who acts as security in all parts of Afghanistan. ,,,,,

“Decent sleep and good facilities”

The shower was strong hot water and a decent bathroom, although annodd shape with a column in it. Location is near the main crossroads and two blocks from the Ministry of Culture office. The breakfast is taken in the common room and wuite decent. The manager tries his very best in challenging circumstances.

Incredible hospitality and a great introduction to Afghanistan if you are coming from the north! Good rooms, breakfast, wifi & location too!

The breakfast was excellent- good assortment of food. The room /bathroom was clean. Staff were pleasant.

The room was clean and comfortable with 2 single beds… mattress was a little hard though. Air con was good, free bottled water and hot water was fine as was wifi. Breakfast included but I left early and didn’t have any although they did offer it. Staff are lovely.. a nice hotel but expensive compared to other hotels in Afghanistan.

Every staffs is kind very much! They have good hospitality.

Staff was very good, helpful, polite and friendly. Food is good, totally organic because they have their own farm and local produce. I can recommend for everyone.
