“A must stay.”
This was a highlight on our bike trek around Provence. Lovely grounds in the middle of the vineyards, delightful rooms and really good breakfast. But the host, Françoise, takes the cake. She was awesome. She cooked a special ‘regional’ dinner for the 4 of us which was delicious with the fish main course being a standout. It would be worth going back just for that alone. Highly recommended.

We stayed at this charming, locally run villa hotel for 2 nights and had really nice experience. It’s run by a lovely couple who clearly put care into every detail. The place is tucked away among vineyards, is decorated in a unique personal style that reflects the character of the hosts, definitely not your cookiecutter hotel decor. Outside, the property is surrounded by many plants. With only a few rooms, the villa stays quiet and restful. Our room was very wpacious, with an open plan ensuite of both a bath and shower. The toilet was located just outside the room in the hallway, but it was for our private use. Slightly inconvenient but not a big deal. We had dinner on our first night; a generous 3-course, home cooked meal that was both delicious and great value. Breakfast was lovely, especially the homemade yoghurt and jams. It felt personal and thoughtful. There’s a small pool and private parking. Access by car is easy. The hosts are friendly, can converse in several languages and made us feel very welcome in their home. Say hi to Mao.

Francoise is an amazing host. The breakfast is really good, there’s cereals, yoghurt, patisserie and then you can order eggs also. The rooms are spacious, nicely designed with lots of quirky antique touches. There is a nice pool area and garden with loungers.

“Relaxing four night stay in the beautiful French countryside.”
We spent four nights at la MaiZon and this was the perfect place from which to explore the beautiful Provence countryside! The location was exactly what we were looking for, with villages such as Gordes and Rousillon just a 30 minute drive away. The house itself was a gorgeous traditional French home with each room decorated very fashionably. The view from our room onto the surrounding vineyard was stunning. The gardens of the house were a quiet and relaxing place to spend a sunny day and there was a lovely pool in which to cool off. Françoise and Vlada could not have been more helpful and welcoming, giving us lots of local recommendations including wine tasting and helping us arrange dinner in the nearby village. The breakfast each morning was delicious and even included homemade yoghurt which was a lovely touch. We can't wait to come back!
