“Well beyond my expectation”

Location: positioned right in the center of Mayrhofen. Shops and restaurants are within 200m. Ahorn and Penken cable cars are within 600m Apartment: a. Fully equipped. When I say fully, I mean it. Even small things like first aid kit, umbrellas, socket adapters are there. Even if someone manages to find something that is not already there, Martin (the host and owner) will provide you with it in no time. Kitchen has 2 (!) types of coffee machines and all the standard stuff (glasses of various kinds, kitchen utensils, plates, cups, everything). I cook myself a lot and have lots of kitchen instruments, but I did not feel constrained in any way in this apartment (which is rare). b. Clean. It is really clean. Period. c. Bathrooms are very good. You are provided with a number of towels (typical set I see in 5 star hotels), but in contrast to usual apartment practice to have one set per stay (or per several days), here you can have them changed (like in 4-5 star hotels) d. Design. Apartment is not typical in terms of design. Usual apartment for short time stay is designed with robustness and simplicity in mind, which typically lacks aesthetics. Not with Ferienwohnung Fankhauser. It was designed with aesthetics and ergonomics in mind. And, finally, The Host. Martin welcomed us on arrival, showed everything and we had a pleasant small talk. He offers you complete support during your stay. You can ask recommendations, help with reservations etc. This is a standard concierge service in 5 star hotels. I was surprised since I never had this type of service in apartment. By the way, Martin lives in the same building with his family, so you will stay in his home! Martin, thank you for your hospitality. It was definitely above my expectation.

The apartment was an absolute gem! The host was incredibly kind and attentive, making us feel welcome from the very beginning. The space itself was modern, spotlessly clean, and equipped with everything one could possibly need. The attention to detail was truly impressive. One unforgettable touch was coming back from the mountains to find the most delicious homemade strudel waiting for us! The location was perfect as well—peaceful, yet close to everything. We honestly can’t wait to come back!

The apartment is new and beautifully finished, extremely comfortable, and very well equipped. The bedrooms feature large, cozy beds and a TV in each room, plus a big TV in the living room. The dining area has a large table that can accommodate the whole family. The kitchen has absolutely everything you might need: a pressure coffee maker, toaster, and plenty of cooking and serving equipment. There’s also a lovely little terrace and two beautifully finished bathrooms. The apartment is located in the city center, and the host is incredibly kind and welcoming. For ski enthusiasts, there are secure lockers for gear with heated boot racks.

“Simply put, the best flat we have had as a holiday rental.”

Rarely have I been so impressed with accommodation that I have booked online. Incredibly well appointed flat which had just been renovated with very modern kitchenware. Plenty of room to hang clothes, vital on a ski holiday. It was impeccably clean and perfectly located. It is in a quiet area of Mayrhofen but only 30 seconds from the ski bus and about 2 minutes to Billa (the supermarket). The highlight is Martin as a host, nothing was too much trouble for him. He is contactable and accessible for any enquiries. He made our stay perfect and he and his family were incredibly kind to us and our son.

The apartment was fantastic for our ski trip - extremely clean, modern and had everything we could possibly need. The location is ideal, within easy walking distance of the train station and the Mayrhofen ski lifts. Martin was an extremely attentive host and very responsive whenever we needed any help or had any questions. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

The location is perfect (close to the village center but in a quiet street) Our host was always available and was really helpful
