Surrounded by the Karwendel and Rofan Mountains and combining Tyrolean hospitality with Italian passion, Wellnesshotel & Residenz Vier Jahreszeiten is located in Maurach at the southern shore of Lake Achen. The spa area includes an indoor pool with panoramic mountain views. Decorated according to a season of the year, each room's design is matching spring, summer, autumn or winter. A TV and a bathroom with hairdryer are further amenities of the rooms. The spa area consists of a hot tub, an aromatic oil steam bath, a sauna with panoramic mountain views and a Bio sauna, infrared cabins, relaxation rooms with waterbeds and loungers, and a gym. Massages and beauty treatments can be requested at a surcharge, while a tea and wellness-juices corner is offered for free. Vier Jahreszeiten Wellnessresort Achensee offers a varied sports and entertainment programme, as well as its own children's playroom. Please consider that some wellness areas are only for guest from 16 years age: infinity pool with sun terrace, panorama sauna and sky event sauna with mountainview, aromaoil steam bath, solegrotte, stonesauna, infrared-lounge, generous rest & relaxation room with water beds, fitness room, virtual training, library tea corner The restaurant serves creative cuisine with seasonal specialities and a wide range of fine wines. Half-board consists of a breakfast buffet with a selection of regional products, an afternoon snack from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. and a 6-course dinner (choice of the main-dishes: one vegetarian, one meat and one fish option) with daily starters, salads, cheese and ice from the buffet. In addition to that there are weekly culinary theme evenings like "All around the world" and we grant you an unforgettable stay due to different live-music artists. Guests will be received with a welcome drink (minimum stay of 3 nights). The centre of Maurach and a beach are only a 10-minute walk away. There is a bus stop right in front of the hotel, and cross-county ski runs can be accessed right at the doorstep. The ski areas can be reached on the regional buses, which are free of charge for hotel guests.

We loved every minute we spend here. The staff working at every corner of the hotel was very nice and helpful. Our room was very clean. The hotel had perfect Spa facilities. Very close to the lake side [15 mins of walk] and the boat stations.

I enjoyed everything! One tip would be to go in an off-season. We went during off season and found it perfect. But perhaps when there are more people I can see some amenities being a bit too small for the amount of rooms (such as the pool)

“Perfect location for going to the lake and hiking”
The location is great - 10 minute walk from the lake and 15 minute walk from the Rofan cable car. Food was great, and the staff was very polite.
