“Calm weekend in Maurach”

Central location, stylish interior, breakfast at the terrace, helpful staff, views all round. I also liked that my room had a balcony styled as a cosy little nest.

“Very comfortable stay at Achensee”

The room was beautiful and we loved the seating area in the balcony. Great shower, comfortable bed. The breakfast was good and diverse. It's about 15 min walk to the lake, which we were able to see from our balcony.

Beautiful room with a sitting area. Really clean & smart decor. The food tasted good & fresh. The family who run this hotel work hard & take pride in their business. The transport links were great with free local buses using our Achensee Card from the hotel. Can't fault them on anything.

This hotel is situated in a beautiful spot, as is nearly every building by Achensee lake. The hotel has prominent position near the junction of roads, easy to spot if arriving by car, taxi, bicycle or foot. There’s basement parking. The reception is small, met by welcoming lady host. Once directed to your room, which all seem spacious, the room was found clean, modern and functional. Modern bathroom with quality HansGrohe fittings. My room had a small study area, with desk and chair within a separated area (the wall/glazing help reduce traffic noise when your windows are shut). All 4 faces of the building give Mountain View’s - mine faced uphill, towards the parking, no balcony. The breakfast was excellent. A good selection. The breakfast room has beautiful views of the mountains and the lake in the far distance, across roof tops; there are the main eating area, a quiet area and outside balcony. In 2023, I found the room competitively priced. Being clean, modern & partially-quiet. I’d consider coming again but seek to get a room on the upper most floor. (See next part of review for areas of improvement) Or avoid peak seasons (summer and winter) and instead choose quiet periods.

Very nice hotel in the center of Maurach. The room and the place itself were very clean. The breakfast was great and the staff very friendly. Everything is near: lake, cable car, bus stop, shops. It was a very nice stay and I will come back there for sure.

The best breakfast I had in the area, good selection, helpful staff, plenty of seating indoors and out with great views. The rooms were modern, with quality HansGrohe fittings. Very clean. All properties have 360 views of mountains; only some rooms will have a lake view. Cute little sectioned-off room for work or tv; stable Wi-Fi. Super location near to cable car, buses, cafes, supermarket, sports store & bike hire, steam train and a healthy walk to lake not too steep - recommend for summer stays.

Beautiful hotel in centre of Maurach! Everything is near… old Train station, Rofan, Atoll Spa center, nice reatorants! Breakfast was great, staff excellent! We shall come back!
