Overview
Garni Das SONNALP is only a few steps away from the shore of Lake Achen and about a 10-minute walk from the swimming beach, the centre of Maurach, and the Rofan Cable Car. Spa facilities include an aromatic steam bath, a Finnish sauna, a hot tub (only in summer), a Kneipp basin, a bio sauna. In winter, the free ski bus stops directly opposite the Garni Das SONNALP and takes you all 3 ski areas in the region. The cross-country ski runs (a total of 200 km) start opposite the car park. In summer, the hotel offers a large programme of activities, including guided hikes, climbing, archery, and bicycle tours.

The woman on reception who also managed the breakfast was very friendly, helpful and kind. We stayed in various places in Austria on our holiday and the welcome at Garni das Sonnalp was the best of them all. We really liked the breakfast and the location. We liked the lounge and the honesty fridge. We didnt use the spa facilities but they looked good. We liked the easy check-in with the self-service collection for keys. They kindly let us store our luggage at the hotel for a day. With some small changes, we would stay again.

“Nice location and friendly staff”
Many of the attractions were easy to reach, either by walking or by car, there was a green field right across the hotel where we could walk the dog, had a big apartment, and using the Achensee Erlebnisscard was a great idea

“Comfortable stay at Achensee”
- Maybe it’s not directly related to the hotel, but the Italian restaurant next to it was excellent! we went there twice during our vacation - perfect location to explore Achensee - wellness corner is very relaxing
