Overview
A 15-minute walk from Matsuyama Castle, Matsuyama New Grand Hotel offers Western-style accommodations with free wired internet access. Guests can soothe in the public hot-spring baths and refresh with a massage. Okaido Tram Station is a 5-minute walk away. The air-conditioned rooms feature a flat-screen TV and a desk. “Comfortable stay in the largest hotel room”
Friendly front desk and possibly the biggest hotel room space for a Japanese hotel. Despite the front desk having limited conversational English language skills, they made an effort to make the cutest welcoming guidebook to ensure our utmost comfort throughout the stay. Not only that, its location is quite strategic, with Matsuyama Castle grounds being around 10 mins walk away and the shopping district around 5 mins away. Easily accessible with public transports too.

“Great hotel, location and staff.”
Great location very close to the castle and shopping district. Very good coffee shops/cafes nearby. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The room itself is one of the largest I've stayed in, whilst in Japan, for this price range of hotel.

“A wonderful stay”
A small hotel on a quiet street minutes from the Matsuyama Castle, Okaido tram station and the Okaido shopping street. Staff did not speak much English but were friendly and helpful. Our comfortable-sized room had an excellent shower cubical and was made up daily. Everything was super clean. We enjoyed very much the relaxing onsen in the evenings.

Japanese style room was very spacious and comfortable. Onsen were nice. Staff were very kind and delivered the luggage we stored prior to check in directly to our room. Convenient location for the castle/gardens.

Their natural onsen was waaayy much better than the Dogo Onsen. Staffs were nice and professional. Located within 10 minutes' walking distance to the Matsuyama castle and the Okaido shopping arcade. Very close to a tram stop.

Nothing we didn't like. The staff went out of their way to help us with luggage storage since we were away for a couple days and would come back later. Very clean and comfortable.
