Great real japanese house, all the sliding doors/walls, tatami mats and futons. Sleeping room with tokonoma was awesome. Nice kitchen and bath. Great location so close to Dogo onsens 10min on foot, quiet neighbourhood.

Very nice accommodation, the manager was excellent and had useful tips. The facilities such as laundry and the kitchen were great. It's a perfect location between the Dogo Onsen and Matsuyama Castle.

The air conditioner will stop automatically even we have stopped the AI function. It caused us wake up in the middle of the night because of hotness. Also the second floor has no toilet. The washing machine was not functioning properly.

There were only 2 sets of chop sticks which were old and mouldy. Some new ones would have been a good idea

“A great base to explore beautiful Matsuyama”
The location is great for Dogo area. The futon beds were comfortable and kitchen well equipped. Very good host with great communication.

“Grotty but location good.”
The owner / manager was helpful and accommodated an early (1 hour earlier) checkin. Location was excellent for sight seeing.

Guest House DOUGO-YADO in Matsuyama left a lasting impression on us during our brief stay. From the moment we arrived, they went above and beyond to welcome us warmly to Matsuyama. Despite our late arrival at 7.30 pm, they personally met us to give us the keys and provide invaluable advice on what to experience in the city. Their friendliness and dedication to ensuring our comfort were truly remarkable. We were blown away by their hospitality and felt disappointed that we had only booked one evening at their lovely home. This experience has left such a positive impact on us that it makes me want to visit Japan again, just so I can spend more time in Matsuyama and at Guest House DOUGO-YADO. Thank you once again to the staff for making us feel so welcome and for going the extra mile to make our stay memorable. I highly recommend Guest House DOUGO-YADO to anyone looking for a welcoming and comfortable stay in Matsuyama.
