Overview
Offering 4 reservable private hot-spring baths, a relaxation room with massage chairs and traditional multi-course Kaiseki dinners, Dogo Prince Hotel is 5 minutes from Dogo-Onsen Train Station on the free shuttle. Rooms come with a yukata robe and zori sandals. Each spacious, air-conditioned room at Prince Hotel Dogo has an area with tatami (woven-straw) flooring. In some rooms, guests sleep on this flooring in traditional futon beds, and in other rooms Western beds are provided. All rooms include an LCD TV, a seating area and a private bath with amenities. A 5-minute walk from Dogo-koen Park, the hotel is a 10-minute walk from Yuzuki Castle Museum. The main building of the Dogo Onsen Hot Spring is 650 metres away. Parking is available at an additional cost. When not soaking in the indoor and outdoor hot-spring baths, you can sing karaoke or check out the gift shop. The hotel also has a foot bath. Breakfast is served at the dining area, and dinner is available for an extra charge. A tea lounge is also on site.

“Welcoming staff and great breakfast”
The staff were great and very helpful, including the mini shuttle bus driver, who was kind, polite, and attentive. We felt welcomed from the moment we arrived. Breakfast was great, with many dishes to choose from. Unfortunately, we only stayed one night — I wish we could have stayed longer.

“Good transporation service but”
It is a 10-minute walk from Dogo Onsen Station, and they provide transportation services by hotel bus or car, and they provide service at any time you want. However, there was no information about the shuttle service on the reservation site when I first arrived, so I ended up walking.

A very nice experience, with comfortable rooms, a very good onsen and perfect service. We really enjoyed our stay. And our children really enjoyed the frozen drinks machine ;-)

“such a friendly and well serviced hotel in an old historic area near to the oldest onsen in Japan”
the location was superb and the hotel shuttle was fantastic. there was a hotel guest room available next to the train and tram stop so you could rest from travelling before taking the hotel shuttle to the hotel. amazing service. I was able to forward my bags to tokyo from this hotel. the gift shop was great too. overall i loved this hotel. the onsen was fabulous as well.

Wonderful place, with plenty of facilities and features available such as private onsen, footbaths, gift stores, nightly events, and a chill-out space with free drinks and movies. Large rooms and very comfortable beds. A short walk from the city's attractions, with frequent shuttle buses to them as well (a lifesaver when it suddenly started raining!). A very relaxing stay.
