“Almost Perfect!”

Open air roof top onsen was the biggest highlight! Breakfast room looked out across the city and castle. Location was perfect, just 1 minute to Okaido tram station and shopping street with lots of restaurants. The chair lift to the castle was just 5-10 minutes across the road.

Excellent location to access trams, trains and buses. An easy walk to Matsuyama castle and endless choices for all cuisines. Great sized rooms. Staff were very helpful in getting directions for day trips even went as far as contacting local pottery studios for us.

Excellent hotel with great views from reception. It was nice and clean, central for restaurants, shopping and the castle. Rooms were not huge but comfortable and modern. Near to a tram stop. Would recommend.

Central location in the heart of town and only a short walk to the cable car for the castle. The reception was on the top floor and the staff were efficient. Rooms are small, as you would expect for Japan, but comfortable and to a high quality. Overall this had a more upmarket finish and quality than other hotels we stayed at. Highly recommend.

Comfortable space. The rooftop spa is a nice place to visit early in the morning.

The staff at the reception is extremely nice and helpful. The hotel is beautiful, conveniently located close the the cable car to the castle and just at the corner of Okaido with plenty of shops and restaurants.Rooms are large and comfortable. Breakfast offers plenty of choices. Loved the place.

“Exceptional stay”

On my first trip to Japan in 2024 we stayed in a Candeo hotel and loved it. We thought we would stay in another Candeo hotel again it was just fantastic.The central location, the sky bath, the room facilities and size were such good value for money. My husband is fluent in Japanese and I speak a little, but the hotel concierge was so nice and spoke such excellent English we didn't need our language skills! First time in Matsuyama, such a lovely city. We will return in 2026 and stay here again!
