“We enjoyed our stay at this hotel with a regular shuttle bus to take you up from the coast .”
We were surprised at how large the room was for Japan. One half with western beds, the other half with tatami flooring, seperate toilet, bathroom and hand basin areas. Small couch and armchair too, to sit and admire the view. Buffet breakfast and dinner was very good with many, many dishes. Onsen very good.

In a huge dining area in buffet manner, serving 3 varieties of food. ie. Japanese, western and Chinese.

Everything! Amazing premises, great location, great staff, and excellent food. You can walk to the hotel from the station, but they also run a frequent free shuttle.

Amazing hotel with nice facilities and restaurants. Beautiful view of the Matsushima Bay for those staying at Ocean View rooms. Wide variety of food (japanese, western and chinese) buffet for breakfast and dinner.

Pretty much everything I was happy with Taikanso. Especially, the staff there are very friendly with lovely smile, kind and professional. I also like piano playing at dinner.

“The friendliest hotel in Japan!”
This was a modern Japanese style hotel, with a wonderful onsen and fantastic views. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. They even gave us a half bottle of sparkling wine for my birthday, which was much appreciated! We had a wonderful stay here and would highly recommend.
