Beautiful traditional ryoken, conveniently located. Staff were exceptional. Futon beds were extremely comfortable. Dinner and breakfast were amazing - the best dinner that we had in Japan. Clean, beautiful property.

The whole experience was just amazing. We were a group of 6 travelling together and we all agreed staying here was the best decision we made this holiday. Definitely choose the dinner option if you are wanting an authentic experience - the food and host was perfect. If you are looking for food and accomodation from your westernised home country, this is not for you.

Traditional feel, good Japanese breakfast and great location for the sights of Matsumoto. Communal area had facilities (fridge/ kettle etc) and teas/snacks. Family room upstairs was a very generous size, especially for Japan.

Breakfast was tasty and it was nice to try local food. The serving area was nice and tidy and staff were very kind. The property had an interesting style to it which was a exciting experience Futon beds were surprisingly comfortable

Staff were all extremely welcoming and friendly. We stayed in room Tamo which was really spacious. Excellent shared facilities and breakfast! Would also recommend booking for dinner!

A truly authentic Ryokan experience, we absolutely loved it! This is a small intimate accommodation with really big rooms. Highly recommend to book the dinner they offer, it is world class!

Beautiful old building thoughtfully updated. We stayed in the family room which was 2 large rooms with comfortable, thick futons and private toilet. Shared shower but never a wait to access. Lovely service and beautiful included breakfast. Great walkable location close to lots of restaurants and castle, art museum etc.

Very traditional Japanese experience staying at this wonderful Guest House in Matsumoto. The staff were wonderful very helpful and the food was exceptional. The property is located within walking distance to all the major tourist sites. Our family really enjoyed the experience of staying at this property in Matsumoto.

“Gorgeous room with private area.”

Delicious breakfast with cooked salmon, omelette, rice and tea. Best breakfast ever. Sadly, the evening meal was not available. The room was lovely , large with traditional bamboo roofing and a large be going across the room. My favourite so far.
