The hosts were absolutely amazing, as I walked in got myself settled with self check in and ready to go out I was greeted by a lovely young lady that spoke amazing English and suggested a Raman place after I said I was out for dinner and she swore By it and it was amazing. The stay was comfy quiet and felt like the whole place was yours warm and cozy for the down days. I will be back again soon.

Absolutely nothing to put a finger on. I enjoyed my stay here! Found the hostel very comfortable and sleepy really nice. Good value for the money

“Most well thought out hostel I’ve seen!”

I think this may be one of the most well thought out hostels I ever stayed in! Even tho there’s no staff to greet you, they’re very responsive on Whatsapp. The hostel is about 15mins walk from Matsumoto Station (straight down the road). I didn’t get the borrow the free bikes, but it’s definitely a bonus! - The automated check in is pretty simple, and they have chains you can lock your stuff to if you need to leave your luggage. - It looks like an old edo house converted into a hostel and creative space. There’s literally no wasted space in the dorms, showers, kitchen, toilet and gardens - There were air vents in the capsule beds! It may not seem like much, but capsule beds get stuffy very easily because the curtains block the airflow. The amount of thought the staff put into the hostel shows how much they care and listen. - The showers were really clean and has both a dry area and shower area in each cubicle. I was very comfortable, and I loved that one of the cubicles had a little tray you can unlock in front of the door to have extra surface for your stuff. It’s another small detail that showed a lot of thought! - There’s more than enough hangers and a hanging rack in each dorm room if you need to dry your stuff. - The staff were very sweet when I had a miscommunication and was close to panicking. They also helped me make a reservation at the Biwanoyu Onsen for a private room, in case they didn’t accept tattoos (they do). - There’s so many cool nooks and crannies they stuffed with pillows and blankets so that you can literally chill. I didn’t dare to go into the garden cause of mosquitoes, but it looked like a good place in the cooler weather to hang out! - The location itself is great. It’s near so many great cafes and eateries I found on Google, and near the art museum as well.

I liked that even though it was a capsule it was still very spacious and had a separate place for my belongings to be stored. I also appreciate getting a bottom bunk. Though there were a few other guests the place was still overall quiet which I appreciated. I liked the location too, it was a few minutes from the nearest convenience store, and around 15 minutes from Matsumoto train station too.
