“Perfection”

The property was exceptional. Never have we experienced something like Keiryuso Siorie. From the moment we arrived we were greeted with the highest level of service and comfort. The photos don’t do this property justice - it is incomparable. We were lucky to be there in the snow and it was an absolute delight. Only 1 hour easy drive to Matsumoto. Be sure to have the dinner prepared by the chef - it is an exceptional experience.

Everything was exceptional. From the host, to the Micheline style dinner, to the Amazing breakfast, private room, the numerous onsen and amazing view. We can't thank you enough. My boyfriend proposed to me while taking a photo in our private garden, you made this trip to Japan the most memorable one

Peaceful and relaxing

Outstanding in every way! The room was immaculate and decorated with locally sourced furniture. Beds were comfortable and the massage chair was lovely and highly effective! We also really enjoyed all the nice drinks and looking out at the river, trees, and stars from our footbath on our balcony. The food was exceptional - both the dinner and the breakfast were incredibly tasty and beautifully presented. We also really enjoyed our private 45 minute onsen bath (you can book this when checking in and because there are only 8 rooms, you should definitely get a session). The ability to park the car before check-in and explore Kamikochi was also super useful. We'll be going back!

“Highly Recommended”

The Rokan place is very clean. The host was very friendly and easy-going, showing our family around to all the facilities in the place. We been to many Ryokan but the place stand up due to the personal touch from the host. Highly recommended and will definitely come back when I visit Matsumoto again.

“Fabulous onsen experience”

I absolutely loved the private outdoor bath inside the room. It was wonderful to soak on your terrace. Rooms were very spacious and comfortable. The dining experience was amazing. Each group of guests had a private space for dining. The food was absolutely incredible. We had eight-course dinner in a Japanese style. There was also a very convenient parking. The staff was incredible, very hospitable. The service was very personable.

One of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, everything was perfect and I can't think of one thing that we would have changed. The service from the staff was definitely the highlight, but the food, the room and the onsen were outstanding. It's a short busride to Kamikochi bridge where the hiking is beautiful.

“A special memory and place to keep close to my heart”

We came here after a 2 days camping trip at kamikochi. It was such a relaxing and wonderful pampering experience. All the small touches and the friendly staff. Despite English being a second language, they tried their best to communicate their service and explain in detail as much as possible throughout our stay and during our meals. They are passionate about their service and it was a joy to experience their warm hospitality.

An exceptional ryokan - it incorporates both elegance and warmth. Amazing Japanese Kaiseki cuisine experience! Best ryokan meal experience I have ever had. Picturesque open onsen and available on private reservations too. Excellent staff - they are very thoughtful and helpful.

The meals were quite a spread, in private area as we are a family of 8 so that was quite nice. The private onsen in room was cozy, with plenty of towels offered.

Wow, it is one of the best ryokan I have stayed in Japan. A very luxurious, boutique and romantic accommodation. However, what stood out was the service and hospitality of the staffs.
