Amid stunning nature in the heart of Kamikochi located within Chubu Sangaku National Park, Kamikochi Hotel Shirakabaso offers Japanese-style rooms with free wired internet and a restaurant. Nice accommodation next to the Kappabashi. Dinner is very good. I had breakfast outside on the terrace. That view is hard to beat.

Absolutely stunning hotel right by Kappa Bridge. The staff couldn't do enough in helping with dietary needs, and the meals were delicious. The beds were the most comfortable I've slept in in a Japanese hotel. You pay a 5 star price, but you also get a 5 star service!

“Location and dinner was great”
Dinner course and the bedding were excellent! We had a tatami room that overlooks the mountain view. The layout of the room was great, while it's not a big room and we were 3 adults we had lots of space to move about , change and keep our things. Great amenities in the room including the drip coffee provided, very clean , location is perfect!

The staffs are very welcoming. Recommended and helped arrange the luggage to be delivered to the room even though it was not yet time to check in. I wanted to upgrade my room and receive good service. The food tastes excellent. The hotel is in a very good location.

“Fantastic”
The view from the room was fantastic, and the staff speak very good English and very professional. Right next to the Kappa Bridge, one of the best location. Delicious dinner and relaxing atmosphere.

“Excellent location, good restaurant and friendly staff”
+ Excellent location with the best views on the mountains and river. 5 minutes walk to the bus station. It is also very quiet as it is the last hotel in the row of hotels + very friendly and helpful staff. We were late arriving at the Akandana parking (warning GPS does not always work in the mountains) and missed the bus to Kamikochi. The staff arranged a taxi to pick us up very quickly. + Half Board included a 7 course dinner which was very nice + Breakfast buffet had the best Western options I have seen so far in Japan

The service was terrible, the room was dusty, and there was a bold mark on the bed sheet. The guest could only drink ice milk, the staff refused to heat it.
