“A cozy stay to start and end your visit to the Northern Alps”
Hiking the Tokugo Pass or Kamikochi from Shin-shimashima? Then this place is a great way to prepare or to end your trip. Close to it's train station, the guesthouse has many amenities close to the North Alps such as the bus station that go directly to Kamikochi. It also has a sizable convenience store close by that gives you whatever you need to start or end your hike. The guesthouse it self is properly equipped with a kitchen, a spacious lounge area and plenty of showers for guests to use. The personnel are knowledgeable about the area and terrain which helps a lot when given advice about your trail. The cozy and rustic vibe of the guesthouse makes for a pleasant stay.

Fantastic location and great for getting to Kamikochi. 7/11 and station less than a minutes walk away. The inn itself is very well equipped and the staff are fantastic! We accidentally left some clothes in our room after check out and they very kindly posted it quickly to where we had moved to. Excellent stay!

“Ideal stop on our way to Kamikochi”
We stayed here when traveling from Kyoto to Kamikochi and it was a perfect stop over. Easy to get to from Matsumoto. The room, and facilities were good - with a kitchen to heat up and eat some food in. Very clean room and comfy beds.

Stopped on the way back from a trek in the Alps. The rooms was spacious and very clean. A minute walk from the train the bus and 7 eleven. Equipped kitchen and nice atmosphere and staff

I stayed in the traditional Japanese style room. Loved the hammock, great way to relax after a long day of hiking. The host was super nice and let me check in earlier than the normal time. Absolute great location if you want to go to Kamikochi.
