The staff was charming, the bed was comfortable, they offered everything I could have expected and more.

The vibe was really nice and relaxed. The staff were all genuinely friendly and helpful, not just doing their job but actually making an effort. The rooms and bathrooms were really clean the whole time, which I appreciated a lot. Beds were very comfy too. The common areas were great to hang out in and the kitchen had everything you needed. Location-wise it was pretty convenient, close to everything I needed. Overall it just felt like a safe, chill place to stay. Would definitely come back and recommend it to anyone travelling through!

Great English-speaking staff, awesome location - within walking distance of both the castle and train station. The staff had a myriad of pro tips on the best restaurants and cafés in town, be sure to look at their map!

This was easily the best stay in Japan so far. The house is spacious and cozy. The communal spaces are great for meeting interesting travellers. The staff were fantastic. The location is perfect. Its a little further than the train station but right in the centre of all of the Matsumoto attractions. I stayed in a 4-bed dorm room with plenty of personal space and the most comfortable sleep I've had in Japan. I will absolutely be coming back.
