Overview
Ohashikan is a 5-minute drive from JR Matsue Station and a 15-minute walk from Matsue-jo Castle. It offers Japanese-style accommodation with 2 indoor baths, free parking and free Wi-Fi access. Featuring partial views of Lake Shinji, guest rooms have traditional tatami (woven straw) mat flooring. Each room is equipped with a fridge, an electric kettle and a flat-screen TV. Female guests will be given a Yukata (Japanese bathrobe) during their stay at Ohashikan. Massage services can be arranged upon request. The on-site restaurant serves breakfast and traditional Japanese kaiseki dinner. Ohashikan is a 6-minute drive from the Former Yakumo Koizumi Residence.

Charming ryokan in a great location on the river. Delightful management and staff - all went out of their way to be helpful. Wonderful dinner prepared by chef/owner James in ‘The Willows’ restaurant.

“Perfect Position”
The location is fantastic. The views of the lake are beautiful. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable and the staff keep them spotlessly clean. The Japanese breakfasts are exceptional. And the staff are warm and friendly, and always helpful.

Irish writer Lafcadio Hearn （Japanese name Yakumo Koizumi）used to staying here for several years. The hotel staffs are all kind and nice. The breakfast seems healthy and tastes good. The box for breakfast is printed some local words and you can learn some local languages from it. Our seats capture the beauty of Lake Shinji. It’s a very pleasant stay.
