“Amazing guesthouse”

Perfect guesthouse in Matsue, clean, comfortable, great location and amazing staff.

“Superb place near the Matsue Catsle historic area”

The hospitable management, warm room and clean toilet as well as 'miso ramen' noodle served by the owners in a restaurant nearby. Clean towels were provided for free. The management was generous enough to allow the guests to leave the luggage after the checkout until the evening.

Location, cleanliness, atmosphere, price

The guest house is small and the personal welcome from the owners is very welcome. They were helpful and responsive, and keen to make sure we had a good stay and knew what was happening in Matsue during the time we were there. The guest house is very nicely placed near Matsue Castle and the historic area, so you can wander those scenic streets, the castle park and beside the canal, and visit the Samurai House, Museum, Lafcadio Hearn museum and the very good Boat Spirit festival exhibition. The city tourism department store selling local arts, crafts and food just round the corner is excellent. You can enjoy looking and shopping there. It's a pleasant walk to the busier downtown area for small restaurants and bars. The guest house owner's restaurant across the road makes really good ramen, especially a lemon ramen I'd never seen before. This is a good affordable guest house, and everything is as advertised.

“Definitely worth your buck”

Quaint property really close to the castle with the advantage of parking on site. The owner was wonderful and lively. Facilities all functional and as described with the advantage of free laundry too.

Super kind and helpful hosts, and the guesthouse is right next to Matsue castle and the old castle town! Can highly recommend it to anyone staying in Matsue ☺️

It was a cozy guest house. Very comfortable beds. And the owner was very welcoming. It was also close to the castle. The same owner runs a ramen shop nearby. I had the tonteki and sardine tsukemen - and both were very tasty. Hope to come back soon.

The retro setting, the charming host, the real feeling he wants to help, and his restaurant near by ,not expensive and good food. The nice area to eat . And a small kitchen where we can make food

“Surprisingly good and great value for money in a good location.”

We had everything we needed and had access to a former coffee shop on the ground floor to relax, make coffee and prepare breakfast. We also had access to a Japanese bath, washing machine and two toilets. The free internet worked well.

“Nice hostel at a nice location with friendly owners”

The owners were really nice, the location (close to the castle and the festival) was nice and they also owned a Ramen restaurant where we ate (it was delicious).

The staff so nice and kind, you can leave you luggage after the check-out, and the bed so comfy. they provide both tea, coffee, and cocoa. Everything you need is here.

Location was great, near castle and other historic areas and cool cafes.
