Overview
Located at 1,000 metres above sea level with panoramic views over the Hohe Tauern Mountains and the village of Matrei in East Tyrol, Hotel Goldried offers direct access to the ski slopes. All of the spacious rooms offer panoramic mountain views, a balcony or terrace, and a modern bathroom. The apartments, located in the annex, comprise a private sauna, a kitchenette, and an open fireplace. Most rooms and apartments offer southwest-facing views. The restaurant serves Tyrolean speciailities as well as international cuisine. The Goldried Hotel also features a piano bar, a summer terrace, and an après ski hut. Free WiFi is available at the piano bar free of charge for the entire stay. Free private parking is available on site. Hiking and mountain bike trails start right at the doorstep.

Late check in, also our room was not ready at 16.00, we had to wait untill 18:00. Receptionist was not very hospitable, while we waited for our room in the lobby. Hotel is outdated.

I stayed at Hotel Goldried and really enjoyed my time there. The views from the room were absolutely beautiful. The hotel is located at a perfect spot, everything was very clean and well-maintained. Everything was just perfect. Thank you, Hotel Goldried, for making my stay truly memorable.

“Great and comfortable experience”
we loved the pools both indoor and outdoor. We enjoyed the room - the kitchen was very well equipped. the room facilities were very good, except for the dryer which did not dry the clothes. The windows near the children rooms had no blinds - when I asked what can be done, the hotel staff installed temporary covers for the windows so we wouldn't wake up so early. This was done on the same day. Great and quick response, thanks! The staff in general are very helpful with any question, also about sight seeing, bus schedules etc.

“Wonderful stay in a lovely hotel”
We were too late to get a family apartment for 4 pax so had to book 2 room which are big and nice with a lovely balcony overlooking the town. Very nice swimming pools in and out doors! Wonderful service at the Hirschenstube restaurant. Delicious breakfast. Wonderful massage experience. Super friendly personnel at reception! Great lift to get to reception!!
