I had a wonderful time here. The place is very clean, comfortable and well maintained. It is conveniently located and has a peaceful environment, making it very suitable for both short-term and long-term stays. The landlord was very friendly, warm and helpful during our stay, making everything go smoothly. I strongly recommend Chunga Changa to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, cozy and safe place to stay. We will definitely stay here again.

⸻ We stayed here for 2 nights as a group of three and this was one of the worst and most concerning accommodation experiences we have had. The property is completely misrepresented online and not properly maintained. On arrival, multiple essential facilities were not working. The AC and fan did not function, the fridge and stove were unusable, and the shower did not work properly. Most concerning, the door locks did not secure, creating serious safety concerns. There were ants throughout the property and the bed sheets were visibly stained. We reported these issues immediately, but no meaningful action was taken. During our stay, we were pressured into handing over additional cash payments that were not transparently communicated in advance, and the situation was handled in an intimidating and unprofessional manner. We felt extremely uncomfortable and unsafe. This property does not meet basic standards of hygiene, security, or professionalism. We strongly advise future guests to proceed with extreme caution

“Amazing villas in a perfect place”

Amazingly designed and confortable villa,with private pool,and all the services you can desire. Situated 5minutes by walk from Muyuni beach,but in a calm place at the same time. You can admire beautiful sunrises directly from your bed! The staff was very kind and very helpful, and we would like to thank especially to manager Mr.Hussein,who always fullfilled every our wish. Definitely will come again soon!

I would like to sincerely thank the villa owner, Ruslan, and the manager, Hussein, for making our stay in Zanzibar truly unforgettable. The villa is excellent and has everything you need for a comfortable stay in a hot climate: each room has air conditioning, a private bathroom, clean towels, and a mosquito net above the bed. There is also a swimming pool, sun loungers, and swings - absolutely everything for a perfect holiday. The villa offers a menu, and you can be sure the food will be delicious. You can also book a massage directly at the villa - the therapists are excellent. The entire staff was incredibly friendly and responsive to every request. They even helped us decorate the villa for our friends’ birthdays: they found everything, bought it, and set it up themselves. The team also assisted us with car rental and arranged transfers at any time, from anywhere in Zanzibar and across Tanzania. They also helped organize our safari and handled all the logistics. We will definitely return to this villa on our next trip to Zanzibar.

“Really amazing stay for our honeymoon!extremely extremely relaxing and enjoyable”

Extremely private, from the private pool/garden to the inside of the Villa. Rather remote location, a couple minutes away from busier areas/ resorts so was nice and quiet and relaxing. Traditional African interior, however also very modern. Fully equipped and furnished with eveyrhtung you need to have a comfortable stay, and almost everything you request can be brought to you by the fantastic staff. Food was amazing !!! We had breakfast there every single day & most days hand lunch or dinner at the property too, no complaints at all about the food, huge portions and brought fresh and hot. Our particular favourite was the chicken club sandwich & the Swahili chicken wrap. Our host was Rahima & our driver was Hamad who both went above and beyond daily to ensure we had a comfortable and relaxing stay. Was really impressed by the staff & their hospitality and it really made a difference to our stay. Type of service That a price can’t be put on!

“Magnificent”

Stayed here during the summer and it was one of the most memorable/ enjoyable experiences of a lifetime. situated at a prime location ( near Mnemba island) it offered loads of hotspots for us to do. i’d recommend doing the group tours the accommodation presents. I believe Chunga Changa is the place to be, offering a plethora of decent staff who cater to your every need, to a well secure and clean environment, this is one of Zanzibar’s finest places and i’d always recommend here.

“Perfect honeymoon stay”

Stayed here during our honeymoon. The people are very friendly, the food is great and the locaties is close to the beach. You can see the Mnemba island from the villa. Very nice breakfast. Private pool. The staff arranged a birthday surprise for my wife. Highly recommend!

Quiet,laid back, friendly staff

We, a group of 6 friends (3 couples), spent 5 nights at the Chunga Changa villa. I can only say the most wonderful things about this villa. The villa's manager, Iman, was very helpful and provided all the necessary information. Each villa has a private pool, which is very convenient. Breakfast, which was included in the villa's price, was delicious (you could choose from 6 options). The girls who cleaned the rooms and prepared breakfast were very kind and polite. By the way, you can also order lunch and dinner at the villa. The villa is located in a very convenient spot, about 500 meters from the stunning Muyuni Beach. This beach was my favorite out of all the ones we visited by car. At the beach, you can book various activities and excursions. There are also a couple of small, inexpensive local restaurants near the villa. I would gladly return to this villa, so I can confidently recommend it to everyone. I give it the highest rating.

The villa is great! The manager was very helpful and flexible.The communication was quick to reply and very trustworthy. He arranged for baby food, late check-out, reant a car, tours, etc. The meals were all delicious and room service was available.The rooms are clean and cozy.The staff was very friendly. Muyuni beach is also accessible within a few minutes walk. The snorkeling, especially around Mnemba Island, was great because the water was so clean and we saw so many fish. We will definitely recommend you to our friends! Our family would stay there again!
