We have never met more enthousiastic people as these hosts! The location is perfect, near the beach and the street with the restaurants, but still in a quiet area.

Really welcoming hosts. Lovely people. Rooms are simple but have all you need and great value. The location is perfect. Madiha is small so everything is walkable but I love this calm spot. Has a garden space to sit and chill if want They do very good smoothies. And I had the pancake for breakfast which was delicious

The hosts were the most kind, friendly helpful people. The food was homecooked and delicious, very reasonably priced. The room was perfectly clean, the fan worked well, the linens were a nice quality, the shower was excellent, large bathroom, perfect mosquito net, fast WiFi, really everything was perfect. Highly recommended.

The family was the nicest and always smiling. For the price it was a great location with a very nice outdoor seating area. I went to their restaurant right below my room every day and the prices were cheap compared to other restaurants and the food was good.

My partner and I really enjoyed our stay here, especially because of the extremely friendly, helpful and welcoming staff. The room was comfortable and clean and we absolutely loved the omelettes and juices they made for really reasonable prices, just as the whole room was great value for money. The bathroom smelled interesting sometimes, but we kept the doors closed anyway, so it didn’t bother us at all. Overall amazing stay, the staff made it one of our favourite stays during our travels so far. Would highly recommend going here!

“The Best Guesthouse in Sri Lanka!”

We had the best stay on our travels with this Sri Lankan family. We were greeted to the house with a fresh Mango juice and encouraged to make ourselves comfortable. We felt at home instantly. The room was spacious and had everything needed to make it a comfortable stay. Located right next to the beach and close to restaurants, bars etc in Mahida (in Matara) Very delicious and affordable food served at the cafe and the hosts again couldn’t be more accommodating. We even went to watch the son play cricket one Sunday afternoon which also was a real joy to see. If visiting Matara, we highly recommend staying here!

Lovely, welcoming family. Clean and spacious rooms, comfortable beds and large bathroom. The location was very convenient and close to snorkelling beaches. Highly recommended

“Best place to stay in Matara without a doubt!”

Everything! Room is basic but the cleanest we’ve had in a long time! It has everything you need! Downstairs is the cafe with amaaaazing juices and rice and curry! She makes it all with so much love it tastes incredible and the value for money, wow! Location is perfect and the whole family is so so so sweet and will go above and beyond to help You with the smallest things.

“Lovely place”

Very friendly and lovely people. Quiet place in walking distance to the beach and restaurants. Even though not everybody of the family was fluent in english, all of them always found a way to help. For welcome we got a tea and during a power cut they gave us a battery-powered lamp.
