“Comfortable stay !”

Excellent place close to the beach, the owners are very welcoming and the rooms are clean and comfortable !

Really lovely owner - very genuine guy who let us use his shower and wash room after we had checked out so we could get sand off us. A lovely welcome drink of juice when we arrived. The room was well equipped, clean and comfortable beds. Really great location 5 mins from the beach but on a v chill street

“Fabulous stay”

The host was really accommodating, he gave us some really good recommendations and was really helpful with a lot of our planning and great to chat to. The rooms were clean and facilities were good as well. Great location, rented bikes and cruised around the beach as well as in the town. Really enjoyed our stay, couldn’t recommend enough! Lokasyon

Felt like a second home. Such lovely staff. Hidden in one my favourite parts of Sri Lanka. Not too busy, peaceful, yoga down the road, the doctors house for parties, lovely authentic and cheap food. Touristy free haven.

I stayed at Sunny Lanka Guest House for just one night, but the impressions were the warmest! The staff welcomed me like family - I haven't experienced such genuine hospitality in a long time. The manager personally escorted me to my room, explained and showed everything in detail. The location is just perfect - Polhena Beach is within walking distance, literally 5 minutes at a leisurely pace. In the evening, I took a walk to the shore - the sunset was incredible! The room delighted with cleanliness and comfort. Everything you need is there: a comfortable bed, air conditioning works perfectly, and the bathroom provided nice touches like shampoo and shower gel. The window offers a beautiful view of the well-maintained garden. I want to specifically mention breakfast - I ordered English breakfast, everything was fresh and delicious. The waiter was very attentive, asked if I liked it, and offered extras. For those who want active recreation - there's bicycle rental available. I didn't have time to use it, but I saw that the bicycles were in good condition. The only regret is that I stayed for just one night. Next time I'll definitely return here for a longer period. I recommend it to everyone who's looking for a cozy place with a warm atmosphere and excellent location! Rating: 9.5/10

“A great stay for a good value”

Very clean rooms in a quiet and peaceful location closely located to the beach and convenience store. Amare is the soul of the guesthouse and a very personable host, he helped us a lot with local tips throughout our stay. Thank you.

“Great place to spend a night at reasonable rate”

It is an owner managed place and surprisingly well managed. Helpful and great guy to deal with. Close to the beach. Short drive to Matara town and Mirissa. Price reasonable.

The staff was amazing and super welcoming, it let us check out a bit later since our amazing food was a bit late. we got a really nice 3 bedroom room qith all you need and a nice sitting area out side. The beach is a 3min walk and you have a great local restaurant 10min away. it was great :)

Nice place to rest after long motorbike ride. Large rooms, very clean and very quiet. The place is in walking distance to beach and restaurants but far enough away not to hear the noise. Beach is great for seeing turtles, but be careful in the water not to step on the urchin. Staff are amazing. Highly recommended.

everything Perfect. friendly, clean and good van

Sunny Lanka was much as we expected: a nice rest after a long bike ride. And there are some good places to eat just up the road.

Great family run place with large rooms, very clean and very quiet. Lovely place for families, in walking distance to beach and restaurants but far enough away not to hear any noise. Beach is great for seeing turtles without crowds of people. Staff are amazing. Great breakfast at good rates. Highly recommended

“A hidden gem”

Spotless clean property only a few meters in walking distance from the beautiful and quiet beach. There's a nice terrace, too. The room was perfectly equipped, nice and clean. The hospitality of the owner is overwhelming,he was extremely friendly and supportive. Whenever we'll come back to Polhena this would be our first choice.
