Clean place, fast wifi available, good pressure in the shower, hot water, nice working AC, owners give the privacy, couldn't ask for more. (Also good local rice&curry almost next door at the juice place). All for a reasonable price.

My wife and I stayed at Shorea Lanka Homestay Apartments for one night, and it was absolutely amazing. The room was exceptionally clean, well‑maintained, and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The staff was fantastic—very friendly, attentive, and always willing to help. If you're visiting Matara, I highly recommend staying here with your family. It’s safe, peaceful, and definitely worth the experience. You won’t have to worry about anything—just relax and enjoy. Well equipted kitchen, new and good quallity bedsheets and towels, spacious apartment, mosquito nets on beds. We got a few coconuts from the yard, thank you.

“Bathroom and bedroom are separate. Upstairs open concept from family rooms down stairs.”
They offered me breakfast, which I did not order nice surprise. The hosts were very polite.

We spent 1 night here and I must say that everything was excellent. The location is quite close to Matara. Room was clean and comfortable.
