The people were incredible, funny and very helpful. The food is delicious, the coffee is by far the best we’ve had in Sri Lanka. It’s around a 30 min walk from Salty Garden to Mediha beach, but it’s easy to get a ride across. The rooms were very clean and perfect for what we needed.

“Hidden gem for a relaxing and quiet getaway!”

The property was everything we could have wanted and needed! The rooms are well designed, spacious and the bed was very comfortable! There is lots of secluded seating areas, where you can relax and get lost in this little hidden gem! Breakfast is included in the price and the team cooked us delicious pancakes with fresh fruit and coffee and they remembered our order the next morning!

Beautiful grounds that are carefully tended by the hosts. Lots of shady spots, flowering and fruiting trees and even a beach volleyball court. A very relaxing place to be with a small river running by and the sound of waves crashing in the distance.

Really beautiful surroundings and tucked away from the busy streets. Good sized room with ceiling fan and nicely furnished. The seating area for a delicious breakfast was also lovely to watch the birds and nature.

Charming accomondation, calm and peacefully located and still not too far from the busy area next to the beaches. Staff was lovely and helpful and the breakfast was delicious! Ask for Isru’s special, you won’t be disappointed!

I stayed at Salty Garden for a couple of nights and I loved the vibe there (will even extend my stay). The stuff is super helpful and the included breakfast was amazing. They let you choose everyday from several different options. The place is on a quite location, surrounded by a big garden. The main area with restaurants and cafes can be easily reached by bicycle or scooter within 10 to 15 min. If you want to take surf lessons Isu, the owner will take you to the best spots with his tuktuk.

We really enjoyed our stay at the salty garden. The guesthouse is in a quiet location surrounded by nature. There is plenty of space to chill out and relax. Also there are yoga classes taking place, which we can highly recommend. The room was clean and equipped with everything you need. We would love to come back!

I fell in love with this peaceful oasis instantly. The rooms are cosy and clean. The big garden by the riverside makes it easy to connect to nature and the staff is amazing. Sweet & helpfull souls that will automatically make u feel like ur home. I also joined yoga a few times which i adored. The yoga shala is spacious and the teachers are knowledgeable. Lastly, the food is amazing! Nadi and Prema, the two local ladies pour their heart and soul into what they do. Thank u for a great stay!
