Deep Blue is a private villa offering rooms with boutique style décor in Matara, 500 metres from Polhena beach. It has a private beach area and an outdoor swimming pool. Guests can relax in the garden equipped with BBQ facilities and children’s playground. Some of the rooms come without air conditioning, but with a fan, marble/tiled flooring and garden/sea views. The private bathroom is complete with a hot water shower. Cooking facilities available but no restaurant. Free limited WiFi access is available. Bicycle are available for guests to use. Matara Train Station is 1.5 km from Deep Blue. Dondra Head Lighthouse is a 10-minute drive away.

“Had a nice vacation at a beautiful, calm and safe place.”
The pool was the central point of attraction. well maintained. The beach was just a step away from the property. Very nice staff. Property manager was very helpful and took care of us throughout the stay. If nature permits I would like to revisit this place. The entire neighborhood is peaceful and lovely people. Bicycles provided were top quality and I had fun riding them. A well equipped shared kitchen is also worth the mention.

“A luxurious little seaside sanctuary”
We had a really relaxing two days and nights at Deep Blue and wished we could have stayed longer! The rooms and gardens are beautifully designed, with a good sized pool and different places to sit and lounge. And we really enjoyed using the free bicycles to explore the local area and other nearby beaches.

“A hidden gem”
A gem of a place nestled in a super quiet corner of Matara, right next to quite a pretty canal (that none of the other reviews seemed to have mentioned). And obviously the sound of sea while you're falling asleep in a hammock is unparalleled. The rooms were huge and really pretty to look at. The manager Ruzaik was super accommodative and had excellent suggestions regarding things to check out nearby. 10/10 would stay again

“Relaxing in paradise”
Super nice design, everything was clean, the host ist very friendly and has many recommendations. He helped us a lot to arrange our travels moving forward. There is a big pool and a small private beach which is especially great for swimming during the morning. We can highly recommend staying here 🥰

“Highly recommend - the perfect stay!”
It is an absolutely beautiful place where you can fully switch off as it is so quiet and a peaceful area. The pool is wonderful and near to Polhena Beach. There are bikes you can use at the property to go to the shops etc. The staff are incredible, and very welcoming, and the gardens are kept immaculately with so many beautiful trees. They thought of everything including putting insect repellent coils out every evening.

We loved this place. The pool is so nice to cool down in and the garden is so beautiful. The hosts put a lot of time and energy into making the grounds a peaceful haven, lots of thought has gone into it. You wake to the sound of birds and the waves of the Indian Ocean. We had breakfast which we really enjoyed here with great Italian coffee and loved the attention to detail.We really appreciated the peace and safety of this place. The fact that we could ride their bicycles for free from the hotel was a real plus. We would recommend this place to other people and will be back.

It's a magnificent spot facing the sea. This place is magical. The host is lovely and always ready to help. The location isn't far from Mirissa, very easy to access, and peaceful.
