“Great stay at Culture resort”

The staff were very welcoming and helpful, the room was spotless and comfortable and a good price. The breakfast was good, they provided more than we could eat. It only took a couple of minutes to walk to Polhena beach where we saw turtles and a ray.

A special mention goes to the staff – always friendly, helpful, and ready to assist with organizing transport or recommending local restaurants and excursions. The breakfast offers a mix of local and Western dishes, served with a beautiful ocean view that makes the experience even more enjoyable. The pool is a nice addition for a refreshing swim, although the sea is usually too tempting to resist. If you’re looking for relaxed, friendly, and affordable accommodation in the south of Sri Lanka, Culture Resort is a very good choice.

Culture Resort is a truly memorable place. What we loved most was the surroundings – peaceful, green, with very little traffic, perfect for real rest and slowing down. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, and the manager Indu is absolutely outstanding. She was always available, caring and attentive, and even after we had already left the hotel she continued to check on us and make sure everything was fine. The breakfasts were excellent – fresh, varied and prepared with great care. The beach is another highlight: wild, beautiful, with turtles swimming freely close to the shore – a rare and special experience. A special mention goes to Charik, with whom we practiced yoga every morning, and who also played great music in the café, creating a wonderful, relaxed atmosphere throughout the day. The architecture of the resort is also worth highlighting – thoughtfully designed, harmonious with nature, and aesthetically beautiful. It adds a lot to the calm, inspiring character of the place. This is a resort with soul, run by people who genuinely care about their guests. We would love to return.

Great location and wonderful views. Pool is very nice and views from restaurant are gorgeous. Breakfast is very good. Rooms are large and bed is comfortable and protected with mosquito net. Staff were very welcoming and helpful.

The location is great, close to a beach within one minute of walk, the view from hotel patio is great. The food is good. Overall, it is a great value for the money.

Feels like home, kind and caring staff with amazing ocean’s views. Very clean and very good breakfast, every day one pleasant surprise. Polhena beach is perfect for swimming, with high chances to spotting sea turtles. The last day, we had breakfast from the rooftop spotting turtles at the reef, incredible.

It was a beautiful property and so inviting. Although we traveled out of season and could not access the ocean due to high tide, the hotel itself is tastefully decorated and gives a warm and nostalgic vibe of Sri Lanka's history. The breakfast was excellent, polite staff and gorgeous views.
