The property is in a great location close to Polhema Beach where yiu can swim with sea turtles and close to restaurants. We had a budget room which is what we got. The shower works well and the bed was comfortable.

“Loved my stay 🪷”

I really loved my stay at Blooming Polhena. I was solo travelling as a woman and felt really safe here, both with the staff and in the neighbourhood. The owner and worker were both really friendly and you can also make use of the kitchen if you like, kettle, hob, fridge. Its in a great location close to polhena and madiha (turtles) while also close enough to some other beach/ surf towns to go on day trips! I had my own room and bathroom and it was a perfect spot to have a chilled exploration of this area of sri lanka. Lots of tasty food options close by! The garden has lots of plants and a peaceful atmosphere. Very grateful thank you 🫶

It says B&B place but not even a cup of tea, never mention Anything about food, only the Bed nothing else.

“A hotel where thieves stay. No one should go there”

හොරැ ඉන්න හොටලයක් මේ.කිසිම කෙනෙක් යන්න එපා.අපි ගත්ත කාමරේ වහලා එලියට ගියාම මේ අය වෙන යතුරෙන් ඇරලා මගේ සේරම බඩු අවුස්සලා සල්ලිත් අරගෙන මම එද්දි.බඩු තියලා ගිය විදියට නෙම් එද්දි සේරම ඇදලා දාලා.ජරාම අය ඉන් හොටලයක් මේ.(No one should go to this hotel. They steal things from the rooms of the guests. I also came today.When I closed the room and went out, they opened it with their keys and stole my money and left my belongings.)

We loved everything about our stay! The hosts, Kasun & Janaka, made us feel like family. The villa has a peaceful, positive atmosphere, and the breakfast was delicious. We shared so many unforgettable moments together—learning Sinhala, cooking, swimming, riding scooters, watching sunsets, and even releasing baby turtles into the sea.

Wonderful little property tucked away. Smashing host. Comfortable room, big bed. Interesting shower...water came from everywhere but the shower head 🤣🤣 breakfast was lovely and there was loads of it! Really can't fault the place.

Very nice and friendly hosts. The accommodation is closed to the beach in a very calm street. The garden is perfect to have lunch or to work. Wifi is very good as well. The room was clean and confortable. We only can recommend the place!

Everything was lovely and just as described! The owners are very friendly and helpful and the rooms are clean. The location is very good, just a few minutes from the beach and some lovely restaurants, and being just outside of Matara itself is perfect as Polhena is beautiful! Highly recommend Blooming Polhena!
