Overview
Set between tropical forest and unspoilt beach in Matapalo, Rafiki Beach Camp offers accommodation in luxury safari tents. There is a communal pool and a private beach area with loungers and parasols. Each tent has free WiFi and an attached private bathroom with a shower. Tents also have a private porch where you can relax and spot jungle wildlife, including monkeys and sloths. Rafiki Beach Camp’s tour desk can arrange activities in the surrounding area, including white water rafting, fishing and hiking. The popular town of Jacó is 95 km away, while Juan Santamaría International Airport is 180 km away.

“A most relaxing venue in a stunning location with easy access to beach and sea.”
The fantastic location adjacent to the beach meant that we could hear the sound of the waves as we fell asleep and as we awoke in the morning. The sunrise and sunset seen from the beach were very special. We had regular visits from a group of white faced capuchin monkeys, saw red macaws, frequent groups of pelicans flying low to the sea and a resident sloth. The staff are very friendly and helpful. This was a perfect end to 18 days in Costa Rica.

It was fun to stay in this glorified tent, though it was a bit hot. The bathroom was large and very modern. The included breakfast was good, the beach was stunning and the gardens were gorgeous.

“Sleep to the sound of the crashing waves, glamping heaven”
Right on the beach but easy living so your tents not full of sand. Quiet, safe parking, little shop and 2 restaurants nearby, great breakfast, very friendly, helpful staff. Sloths and monkeys right outside our door. I walked a mile & a half down the beach and saw nobody.

Absolutely loved Rafiki. Amazing setting, lovely accommodation and friendly and welcoming staff. We saw sloths and we're visited for 2 hours by about 20 crazy monkeys. A great experience. Thanks to everyone x

“rafiki rocks”
rafiki beach camp was a nice stop over after our fantastic time at Rafiki Safari .. both places were amazing .. the tents are more like cabins with great hot showers and the ability to use the kitchen at Rafiki Beach camp was nice as well .. the deserted beach was wonderful for walks
