What a beautiful quest house. It is set away from the busy main road and very peaceful. There is a restaurant, which we did not use, so I can't comment, but there was no noise, apart from some soft music,which was quite nice and chilled. The room was very clean, with clean bedding and towels. Staff were very helpful and Friendly. Loved this Lodge. I could have stayed longer just to enjoy the peacefulness. As we are travelling by bicycle, our bikes were very secure for the night.

“A home away from your home”
The location was peaceful and serene. The facility is an old mansion that has been beautifully renovated, with a history dating back to 1829. The staff and facility manager were incredibly friendly, and there were also many food options available.

The owner did not communicate much, a room with air conditioning was listed on the booking and we had to ask for the remote control and show on the booking that a room with air conditioning was listed. The staff was not very accommodating. The whole experience of visiting this place (Walawwa Matale) was enhanced by the TukTuk driver who was very pleasant and fair. Then he drove us around local attractions and recommended a very good and affordable restaurant in the city where he took us and waited for us. He had fair prices and was friendly.
