“Very enjoyable two days stay at Great Mountain Hotel in Matale.”
The location was closer to the town centre. Breakfast was fantastic and rooms are very comfortable.

“Not a great stay - WATCH OUT”
They had big rooms where the living room was seperate to the bedroom. They also had 2 bathrooms which is unnecessary.

“Mountain gem.”
I was so surprised to find this old school style of grand hotel in the middle of the mountains of Matale. Quiet and surrounded by nature, it was perfect for serene getaway.

“Good, facilities are excellent. But staff is not supportive and friendly”
Breakfast was normal, not that much special. We got dinner as an extra meal. When we asked the price, they said that 4000 LKR per person. But when paying the bill they had charged 4500 LKR per person. It was disappointing. It doesn't matter if they said 4500 first. But saying one, and charging extra is not nice

“Excellent Hotel in Matale”
Very friendly and helpful staff, very spacious room which was clean and with a nice bathroom. The food in the restaurant was superb and very authentic Sri Lanka cuisine. The waiters where extremly friendly. Very nice garden and swimming pool.
