“A View of Paradise”

We (three adults) stayed here for a single night on our way west from Trinco. The rooms had air con and a fan and were very clean. The hotel is perched at the end of a gravel road which does need some care but trust me, the view is worth it (our van, although slowly, managed fine). Sitting in a cane chair, with this serene view with your own thoughts, I lost a good hour. The staff were awesome and very attentive. The Chef's meals were the best I'd had (especially the black chicken curry) to date. We asked for a very simple local breakfast and Chef did not disappoint! The history of the bunglow (which I was not aware of when booking) was quite interesting - a colonial/Scottish history. “Relaxing stay”

The breakfast was nothing wow but enjoyed. Initially we were told it'll be a Sri Lankan cuisine but an English menu was served. The atmosphere is very peaceful. Excellent for relaxing. The staff is very attentive.

Nice calm place

The view of the sunrise and the full moon was insanely beautiful. The staff were very kind, knowledgeable and friendly

“One nights rest”

Staff was just so welcoming, such good people. Provided us with late dinner, tea, conversation. Location is up on the steep hill, so be mindful if you travel with your own vehicle. Got some welcome drink - juice.

“Awesome hotel!”

A bit off the road, but absolutely worth it. It is a small hotel nestled within a huge piece of forest and farm. Quiet nights, lots of beautiful vegetation to check out, as well as animals! The rooms and the pools is clean, the view is spectacular. All the staff is great and the food was delicious. Christopher, the manager, was very supportive and helpful in proposing and arranging for intereresting itineraries. In the Matale area there is plenty of things to see and also to enjoy outdoors! I couldn’t have picked a better place to start of my Sri Lanka adventure.

“Peaceful and quiet paradise”

Very nice and helpful staff, happy to advise and help with everything. Breakfast was great and if you pay for dinner, you get one of the best rice and curry! The rooms are spacious and clean. The view from the pool is priceless! ❤️

Amazing location in the middle of nature and free animals. The view is breath-taking, the pool looks awesome and the staff really takes good care of you. Having reserved last minute they even made dinner just for me. Thank you so much, this has been an unforgettable experience.

The food is amazing, and the staff is so friendly! Nice relaxing place away from it all. The view from the pool is breathtaking! We will go back next time we visit Sri Lanka!

“Now that's a view!”

Perched high in the hills with a fantastic view of the surrounding jungle. Very quiet except for bird song. In and out of the clouds and warm rain making it atmospheric. It's cooler up here which is welcome. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. Being double aspect made it feel light and airy. For the first time we did not need to use the A/C. Dinner and breakfast were served in the ‘old hospital ward’ which had attractive open arches overlooking the garden, pool and the incredible views. It was lovely sitting here especially in the rain. The food was good and we felt welcome. This place is wonderful for getting away from the craziness of the towns. Unfortunately we didn’t get to swim but the pool did look lovely and clean. We went for a walk and spotted many different tree types including rubber, coffee and cashew nut.

The place was amazing if you are looking for a quiet out of the way place. The pool overlooked the view of the forest and the room was perfect. Bright, clean and comfortable
