We got the new room on the ground floor, which we liked a lot. It has a good ammount of space and it looks nice as well. Owner was responsive and accomodating. Also the location with a parking space if perfect for Matala. Price was affordable as well.

Only a short stay in Matala, but when I come back to Crete, this is the place I will book. Lovely hosts, rooms clean and welcoming, excellent value for monies, friendly atmosphere. Private parking a definite bonus. And, Matala, itself, is a bohemian dream.

excellent little hotel in an extraordinary little village with a lot of character...Villa Sylvia offers very good value for money, with clean, comfortable rooms well equipped with all you need, included a useful kichenette. It is located right in the centre ov the village but it is very quiet. We had a balcony with table and chairs and there is a nice patio downstairs with shady trees and tables, chairs etc. The host is welcoming and very kind. Parking space is provided, or there are places where you can park right next to the hotel.

Everything was wonderful and beyond our expectations. The location is very clean, right in the center, 2 steps from shops, restaurants and the beach but in a very quiet area, without noise. We thank the owner who helped us with advices, even lending us an umbrella for the beach 🙏

Location is great, we've stayed on this road before and it's ideal for exploring Matala. This accommodation had the benefit of a small car park. I will be staying here again. The rooms are really clean, met the maid Rose, she is lovely and does such a good job.
