“Very nice stay”
The room was perfect : large enough, with all the comfort and even a nice kitchenette and large bathroom. The location is ideal : easy parking, walking distance to the beach, in a quiet area. The host was very nice, offering us a cake as farewell gift

Excellent location for Matala and the beach. The apartment was spacious, clean and had parking and a lovely balcony. It was well equipped and great to have a washing machine. The owners were extremely helpful and kept in touch. Nice shower and bathroom. Well worth the price and additional extras were included such as cake, water, coffee and wine which was a nice touch.

Comfortable, ultra clean room with small kitchenette for snacks. Perfect location only 5 mins walk into Matala and use of pools in neighbouring hotels. The owner was so kind and friendly and went out of her way to provide everything needed. There is even a communal washing machine . Hope to return next year!

Apartment Tsaner has a good location 10 min walk from the beach and from the center of the village Matala. It is quieter than the centre itself, which is full of restaurants and shops. The appartments are in a newly renovated two-storey house with many balconies overlooking the surrounding hills. We had a nicely decorated studio with a kitchenette and balcony, everything perfectly clean. There was also available a washing machine close to our studio. The host Ms. Kadiani is very friendly and hospitable, she prepared for us a bottle of local wine, fruits and snacks, printed our boarding passes, and as she traveled to Heraklion on the day of our departure, she drove us to the airport. Matala Beach is in a bay, so it is protected from big waves. Red Beach is not far, but one needs good shoes for walking on stones and rubble. Matala is a good starting point for visiting several important archaeological sites (Faistos, Agia Triada, Gortys), but one has to rent a car to get there. These places are worth of visiting, they are not full of tourists as Knossos.

It is a quiet area close to the beach, the market, and nightlife. You can enjoy everything that Matala offers and go everywhere by walking.

“Just utterly perfect apartment in great quiet location with access to huge swimming pool and bar”
Fab little apartment in a great location in Matala. Everything you would need including cleaning stuff and towels ! Friendly staff and use of a great pool and bar just over the road so no pool noise in the rooms .

Very nice renovated room, huge shower, welcome biscuits and water, self check-in, Matala beach and city center are 5 minutes on foot!
