Very nice hotel outside the busy area.Nice swimming pool, a decent breakfast to start the day ( continental). Helpful staff, clean, newly refurbished. Well maintained grounds. Very good value for money. Place for bicycles outside.

Everyone working there was super hospitable and friendly. We really felt very welcome at this family owned hotel. The bed was super comfy and the layout of the balcony so well thought out that you could sit in the sun or the shade. Breakfast was absolutely fine, it seems that some people writing the reviews expect the same choice and quality of breakfast as in a 5* resort.

A very comfortable room, fantastic breakfast, and a short walk from the centre of Matala - a very special place. On arrival we were met by Stelios who was lovely - so welcoming and grit, and he couldn’t have been more helpful. All the members of his family that we met were equally wonderful. Hugely recommended.

Very hospitable owner. Lovely, friendly family who would do anything to make our stay a good one. Nice breakfast which was more than enough to start the day. We arrived very late the first night but owner was there to welcome us. Nice area to sunbathe and swim in pool. Overall a lovely trip as we returned to Matala after 39 years!

Convenient 5-10 minute walk to Matala town and beach, making amenities easily accessible without the noise. Also because it's just out of the town the night sky stars are stunning. Staff work really hard and do pool drinks service. Our studio was well equipped, you could comfortably live out of it. Matala is nicely sheltered from rhe northerly winds crete can get, with the sea in its cove remaining calm even on windy days.

Stelios was an excellent host, made sure your stay was as pleasant as possible. The room had been refurbished and the bathroom. Short walk the centre of the village and beach

It was a welcoming host, well located near the beach, the pool was clean, the room was cleam, very good breakfast prepared by the host's mother who's also really friendly, private parking near Matala's beach. Unfortunately, we only stayed one night.

Very charming place in Matala. Rooms were very clean, with air conditioning and balcony. Breakfast was also very nice, and hotel staff were very kind.
