Featuring a large pool with sun terrace and a snack bar, Hotel Neos Matala lies within 500 metres from the sandy bay of Matala in South Crete. Surrounded by a lush garden covered with lawn, palm and pine trees, the family-run property offers air-conditioned accommodation (extra 5 EURO) with a private balcony. The uniquely furnished rooms of Hotel Neos are decorated in blue and orange tones and feature tiled floors. Each unit is equipped with a fridge, a radio and a safety deposit box. Enjoying views over the blossomed garden, all rooms also feature a private bathroom with shower. A continental breakfast enriched with fresh local ingredients is served daily at the dining area. If you want to take a great breath of the magical spirit of Matala this is your Place: the hosts are Simply delicious and the hotel Is Just 4steps to the beach and the Town so a perfect to relax and enjoy. What else? Felt in love with the many kittens that Always sleep around and waiting for cuddles... I've told that they also have a quiet swimming pool? Not only recommended: if you come to Matala you should be there!

This is our fourth time in Matala and fourth time at Hotel Neos. Cornelia and Michael are gentle and attentive hosts, always happy to have a talk with you. Breakfast is ok, rooms are tidy and clean. The Hotel is close to Matala centre and the beach (going on foot) in a very quiet position.

Cozy family run Hotel in a quiet place close to Matala centre but far enough from city noises and crowd (you can go on foot to Matala centre, restaurants, stores and beach). Cornelia and Michael are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is also good.

Made to feel very welcome, what a great find.. the hosts have a lovely way of making you feel like family, the hotels location is fantastic just a nice 8/9 minute stroll from the bay and all the fantastic restaurants and bars, it is also spotlessly clean, air con is wonderful, breakfast is simple and very chilled under the beautiful veranda area, such good value for money. Bathroom is small but everthing worked fine.

Location was excellent - very walkable to the beach and far enough outside town to be quiet. A good breakfast and nice place to eat it. Very clean. Big effort made to be Covid safe. Good air conditioning
