“Dirty with gecko poo over cutlery/plates, no functioning AC, lack of soap/toiletries.Owner in denial”
My message to owner: Hi ### I understand that you are based in Canada and the property is managed by your employee. We checked in yesterday and are highly dissatisfied. We arrived yesterday at 5pm and the property was not ready, and had many issues. Your employee didn't leave until after 9pm preparing the place and trying to sort out the issues. We noted the following: gecko poo on the crockery, several of the room door handles don't work, there was no soap or toilet paper in the toilets or the house, the AC unit in room 5 does not work and has required someone to be arranged to come fix it so our time has been wasted in moving out of that room, neither of the two pedestal fans work, the drinking water dispenser was infested with ants, the fridge is filthy and the whole kitchen has not been cleaned for immediate use. Despite notifying &&& of our arrival earlier in the day, the above issues were not addressed until after our arrival, after we pointed them out and are still outstanding. Additionally, he told us that the housekeeper was away yesterday which seems irrelevant, considering that you've had two months advance notice of our arrival. There is ambiguity in who to contact as Nalinda is not contactable while he is at his workplace and the caretaker person is new and has no access to the property meaning we had to hand the only key to the house over to them. Looking at the house, it appears that it's been vacant for a prolonged period, because I can't imagine someone being happy living in these conditions. I want to bring this to your attention to 1) express our displeasure and disappointment, and 2) ask you to rectify the above issues. If you can't rectify the above issues within today, I ask for compensation, because this is unacceptable. ==========================
