“Perfect place. Very silent location. Food, Hot Water and cleanliness perfect.”
Walking along the lake, heading towards the Gartmore Waterfall. The owner walked with me among tea fields towards to Gartmore falls along the lake together with two foreigners from Germany. Thanks to all of them.

Hemantha was the best host! He made me and my friends feel really welcome and did everything he could to help us. The rooms are basic but have everything you need and are nice, and the place is in the middle of this beautiful area. I will definitely come back to Maskeliya and Hemantha!

Good contact with the owner family, especially his daughter. good advices about hikes around. This place is mostly great to be in a quiet environment and also to hike (close from devon waterfalls and Pekoe trail section n°8)!

“Amazing location and service”
Hemantha, the proprieter was incredibly thoughtful and caring. A genuine example of SL hospitality. He not only fed me like a king with the best SL food, but shared immense knowledge about the region including the tea plantations and the stunning lake with huge twin waterfalls. 12klms to Adam's peak, and similar distance to Gartmore and Moray Falls this village has everything you need to ensure a relaxed time. This is Sri Lanka!

Beautiful place. Maskeliya is forever in my heart. Comfortable hotel with a large restaurant. Perfect lunch. I wish the hotel owner and his family well-being and more pleasure for tourists admiring the beauty of the central part of Sri Lanka.

The owner and his daughter are so helpful and friendly people. It was a real pleasure to stay at Madhusha Rest. The owner helped me to get the right buses and organized a transfer for me. The dinner was delicious and the area with all the tea plantations is beautiful! I can absolutely recommend this accommodation!

We arranged 2 nights but unfortunately we have limited time so we stayed at Madhush rest for 1 night. Such a calm place and great service they did for us. And also the owner is very friendly and kind. He arranged and well explained the places where we can visit and other facilities too. Thank you Madhusha staff and we would like to visit again.

Hamantha is a wonderful owner. He will provide you with insights and guide you to the best places! His English is very good which makes it easy to have conversation about any topic. The Homestay has a 20 year old guess book with National Geographic in it. I had my own bathroom and enough privacy. just a tip: make sure to take the 2nd blanket that you are being offered. Sometimes in the night it can get cold.

I really enjoyed my stay with Hemantha and his family. The house is very close to the most amazing view over the lake towards Adams peak. 10 minutes walk and you have such a stunning view! Also Hemantha was extremely helpful in planning my trips in Maskeliya and also my further steps on my holiday. He knows very much about the region and about the tea production/ cultivation and his English is very advanced. The room was clean, big, the bed the most comfortable that I've had during my 7 week journey... All in all amazing!
