Tilal Al-Qattara is a magical place offering beautiful views on surrounding mountains. It is one of these places where you can truly relax while enjoying swimming, hot tub and exteriors seating with wonderful sceneries. We also ordered dinner and breakfast, both were very tasty and offered a rich palette of local goods.

Location, Ambience of the stay is excellent. Swimming Pool is clean and having internal heating system for kids pool. Staff is friendly and supportive. Can improve more in setting some indoor games at least during the season time.

It says the location is 4.5km from Jebel Shams... now that probably is the straight line distance.. but actually it's a good 3 hours of off roading.. not something we were ready for.. Booking.com needs to get it's act together on such things..

“Superb stay right at the foot of the mountains of Jebel Shams”
Incredibly serene place surrounded by beautiful mountainview. Our room was very clean and we felt comfortable from the start. Staff (2 Nepali guys) was friendly and eager to help with all requests. Food was one of the best we had in Oman. We loved our 4hr-hike (combination of Al Seer & Wadi) which took us through breathtaking mountain landscapes, palm trees and to a small village and finally back through a wadi with celeste water ponds. The pool area is super nice too! Perfect spot to unwind!

Beautiful location in the middle of the mountains. Fantastic swimming pool. Upon arrangement they prepare a good dinner. No restaurants nearby. Better to have a 4x4 to reach the accommodation.

“Location, location, location.”
Location, location, location. Small hotel nestled against the side of a mountain with a wonderful view of the East flank of Jebel Shams, which towers some 2.000 meter over the valley. We stayed in the one hotel room that is cut into the mountain, which is kind of cute, but ultimately does not offer any advantages over the more traditional rooms that have a better view. Lovely pool that is just about big enough to get in a few strokes, and provides a welcome reprieve from the heat in summer time. Many kudos to Rossan, who singlehandedly ran the place and effectively as well as pleasantly fulfilled his role as receptionist, guard, gardener, pool boy and master chef (and probably a few more roles we missed out on). He made our two day stay even more enjoyable.

Good breakfast and dinner and our daughter’s severe dietary allergy requirements were met. The dramatic mountain scenery was wonderful and it is a very quiet, peaceful place to stay. Rustic, no frills but very clean and recommend. Good to have the mini fridge

“Stunning location - WOW”
Wow - just wow. The best place we have ever stayed. I feel privileged to have had the opportunity to stay here. Situated in the middle of mountains, the pool is lovely, clean and just stunning. Staff were kind and left us to ourselves (in a good way).
