“Miserable Stay – Serious Hygiene and Safety Concerns”
I booked this hotel for one night only because it was just eight minutes from the place I needed to visit. Unfortunately, it turned out to be the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. The room was unacceptable — I found bugs on the bedsheets and the floor. I’ve taken photos that shows the condition. The shower didn’t work, the sink was clogged, and the air conditioning failed to cool the room. Despite the efforts of a staff member (an Egyptian gentleman who really tried his best), the problems were far beyond what he could solve. He even attempted to reset the electricity twice to get the AC working, but nothing changed. The internet was another issue. I had to request Wi-Fi access, and they brought a small tower — but it could only support either the TV or a mobile device, not both. On top of all this, there is a serious safety concern. The water heater is installed inside the toilet, and the electrical point is dangerously close to the shower. This creates a high risk of electric shock — a major hazard that should not be ignored. I strongly urge Masafi Municipality to inspect this property and take appropriate action. The hotel’s phone numbers were not working, which made it even more difficult to reach anyone for help. Booking.com limited the number of pictures I could upload in my review. However, I have more photos and videos documenting the full condition of the room, bathroom, and overall facilities. In the WC, I found human waste, possibly left by the previous guest. This was absolutely disgusting and unacceptable in any accommodation setting. I barely slept, was deeply uncomfortable, and left extremely disappointed. I will be attaching pictures to this review — they speak for themselves. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone until it’s completely renovated and brought up to basic safety and hygiene standards
