“An excellent hostess and place to stay. Highly recommend.”
We loved our stay at La Devine in Martel. It was quiet and central in the village. The location was central to the areas we wanted to visit in the Lot. Our hostess was helpful and made suggestions about places to visit, markets and restaurants. Sylvia was most encouraging as I made attempts to communicate in French language.

La Devinie was excellent. The house was amazing , full of character and real please to stay in. The location is fabulous, right in the old town but with easy, free parking. Sylvie's home made breakfast was outstanding. She was an excellent host, friendly, informative and helpful. She reserved a great restaurant for us

The breakfast was excellent. Home-made brioche, pastry and jam, local cheese and jambon, fresh orange juice and as much coffee as one would like. We were lucky to have the breakfast in Sylvie’s beautiful garden. It was a dream. Sylvie was such a wonderful host with great recommendations for visits in the region and for dinner. All in all it was a wonderful stay, we felt very welcome and are looking forward to another visit.

Beautiful grand house. Exceptionally furnished with the owners’ own tasteful art throughout. A true home and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was wonderful with lots of choice and homemade products. The garden was also gorgeous with high walls providing privacy and a lovely pool. A minutes walk from the centre with its lovely restaurants, bars and shops.

“gorgeous stay with most caring and kind hosts!”
it is the most beautiful house, full of old features and spacious rooms. Sylvie and Matthieu have decorated it so tastefully that you re tempted to just stay in the house for hours and enjoy all the beautiful corners they have created. There is a gorgeous and lush garden, a living room with a piano and full of books, a big kitchen with a big old fireplace and the bathrooms make you feel like you re in a palace! The highlight is Plume, their adorable kitten, who was so cute and playful.

We stayed here September 2022. We enjoyed a fantastic welcome. Sylvie is very friendly and speaks great English. She was very helpful in suggesting and booking a restaurant for us. You can see that Sylvie loves to welcome guests and offered a welcome drink. The room was clean and tastefully decorated. The breakfast was mainly homemade and there was a great selection provided. All in all, a brilliant stay in a lovely French home. We totally recommend.
