Overview
La Résidence Du Vieux Port is set right on the banks of the Old Port in central Marseille. It offers modern rooms and suites with panoramic views of the city. Free WiFi access is available. The best part of this accommodation was the balcony overlooking the old port. The view was great! Also, the young man on Reception one night only, Yvanne, was so helpful as I left my bag in the taxi with my phone and valuables in and he helped me get it back after three hours speaking to people in French. Booking.com could not help us and were useless on the phone!

Friendly staff, beautiful decor throughout the hotel. The junior suite was quite spacious. Nice to see bath robes and slippers provided without having to call for them. This was one of the only hotels I've seen in recent years with a completely stocked mini bar. Also in the lobby there's an "honor bar" cart where you can pour your own drinks, take some snacks and just sign for it. Very interesting looking gourmet style restaurant, we'll hit it next time.
