I'm going to echo someone's early comment. La Bellonette is 'perfectly imperfect' in every way. The location is beautiful with impressive grounds (lots of gorgeous flowers on the terrace) and the Etang du Thau in the distance. It's very relaxing to enjoy the garden thanks to all of the sitting areas and little outdoor bar. The owners are absolutely wonderful. Their dedication, responsiveness, passion for their family chateau and creativity when it comes to events and expositions are much to be admired. They are very welcoming hosts! And the breakfast is outstanding! The rooms were very comfortable, the bedding, towels and bathrooms were clean - each had their own character and had everything one needed. I also appreciated the beauty and very peaceful location. This place has so much potential. It needs more people power and some additional funds to fully restore it to its noble past. I can imagine this would be an amazing location for summer weddings and parties (which I know they do) so happy to spread the word to support their efforts. I definitely recommend La Bellonette and will go back.

The location as long as you are looking for piece and quietness. The garden was beautiful and breakfast was good too

“Magnificent traditional French mansion in tranquil setting”

The property is a magnificent traditional French mansion full of character with a glorious rear garden (the outdoor breakfast here is an absolute highlight) leading through a wood to the etang and plenty of parking at the front. It's showing its age in places but this is real France, not a corporate hotel chain. The location is remote and tranquil. The stunning "Pink Room" contains historic furniture, paintings, books and mirrors but also with an efficient modern electric fan, very useful for warm summer nights. The bathroom has working whirlpool bath and shower. The large balcony is shared with one other room. The hosts (Marie, Fleur and Florian) are genuinely charming and couldn't have been more welcoming, along with the resident black labrador, a cute and sleepy five-year-old called Obi-Wan. You will feel as if they are delighted to see you and really want you to enjoy your stay

The family that runs the house is amazingly sweet. The surroundings and the house are beautiful. Theres a nice vibe and charm

We loved everything! Wonderful location and beautiful charming property. Loved the access to the lagoon (Étang de Thau) at the end of the long garden for morning dips where the enormous lagoon becomes almost your private pool. Beautiful views from the bedroom and plenty of quiet, shady areas in the grounds for relaxing and reading a book. Charming, friendly and discreet hosts.
