Salvu is a really friendly and geniuenly amazing Host. Speaks english and german really well. He makes really delicious breakfasts and has a good humour. :) He also knows a lot about Malta's history and tells really great stories. The house is really beautiful and clean. Our room was really comfortable. Salvu made sure we had everything for a great holiday. If we go back to Malta again, we will definitely stay at Mangion House. Thank you for everything!

Great location, Marsaxlokk is a calm, less frequented area. Salvu was a great host, adjusted our stay according to our needs. The apartment is clean and close to public transport.

“Three pleasant days in Marsalokk”

Salvu was probably the most attentive host we have ever encountered. A born story-teller and generous to a point. Each morning he would provide a hearty, filling breakfast with fresh bread, eggs, local cheese and assorted meats. Although small the room was comfortable and homely. The bed was fine. Two minute walk to the waterfront and bus connections.

Mangion House has perfect location - next to the promenade and harbour of Marsaxlokk. Breakfast was enough, in homy cozy atmosphere, always in time and accompanied with fresh warm bread. We enjoyed our stay and are very grateful for the hospitality and helpfulness of the host) It was perfect beginning of our first Malta trip)

Host welcomed us even though we came few ours early and he was very nice. He also told us we can use everything from the fridge. Breakfast was good. AC was working well. Apartment is located very close to the sea. It has adapters for chargers.

“The worst place I've ever stayed”

I felt uncomfortable with the premises and the owner from the start & requested a refund, at least for 2 of the 3 nights I'd paid for but he wouldn't agree. The room I was given did not meet the description of the pictures or reviews. There was no balcony & no kettle in the room..There was also a very dirty old bathroom to share between 5 people. The shower curtain was stained brown & smelt really bad! but you are forced to use it because there's no door on the small cubicle, so the filthy curtain clings to your body while you shower! The room was cramped with over-sized furniture & had not been aired since the last guests. so it smelt really bad of sweat.

“The best ever providing me with great memories and friendships.”

This was one of the best Guest houses we have ever used in al our travels. The owner goes out of his way to accommodate the guests working around their schedules. We were spoiled every day with a big breakfast and with his vast knowledge of Malta, he was able to give us historical information regarding the island and its tourist attractions. When he was able to, he took us to tourist attraction and introduced us to some of his fellow countryman. The Guesthouse itself was just a couple of steps away from the harbor with its picturesque view of colorful boats and restaurants with tables outside overlooking the bay and the big Sunday Market. With all this down the road the guesthouse still remains quiet and peaceful. The bus stop that is just around the corner also provide easy traveling to the other towns like Valletta, Rabat and Mdina. For the swimming enthusiast the beach is walking distance and you will easily find boats in the harbor to take you to St Paul's Pool. This really felt like home away from home.

TRIGGER WARNING: Sexual harassment During my stay at Mangion House another guest was sexually harassed by the owner. When the other guest told my friend and I what had happened, the story was undoubtedly true. On more than 1 occasion my friend and I witnessed the owner in his underwear, which made my friend and I very uncomfortable. Also, the owner made a few inappropriate comments regarding my appearance, which again made me uncomfortable. In the end, my friend and I left Mangion House and found accommodation elsewhere. Overall, our experience at Mangion House was poor and we will not be back.

Staying at Mangion House was a pleasant experience. If you prefer a traditional Maltese house instead of hotels, this is the option for you. The owner is incredibly hospitable, helpful and talkative. Each morning he greeted me and my partner with a delicious breakfast, pleasant conversation and tips for the day's adventures ahead. He also drove us to the airport. We would love to return there and thank you so much, Salvu for a short but wonderful - our first stay in Malta.

The location was what I expected from a small fishermen village: quiet, colourfull, not many tourists, handy. The host is very nice and helpfull, the breakfast he prepared good and sometimes too big.
