I had a very pleasant stay at The Reef House Hotel in Marsa Alam. What truly made the difference was the staff! Always kind, available, and genuinely helpful. They supported me not only in organizing my daily activities, but also went the extra mile by assisting me in obtaining a refund after an excursion didn’t go as planned. This level of care is something you don’t find everywhere. A special thanks to Ali, Marcelo, and Budi for their hospitality and constant support. In particular, Budi was incredibly attentive! after I had already checked out, I accidentally left my phone in the room, and he immediately contacted me to make sure I got it back. Highly recommended for both the atmosphere and the outstanding service!

The staff is absolutely amazing and exceptionally friendly, they treat you as a friend and they are very welcoming! The breakfast is good and it has good value for the money. Rooms are spacious and very clean. I also liked the peaceful atmosphere. The hotel is located close to the beach. You can truly relax here and enjoy your stay to teh fullest.

This is an excellent hotel. I arrived very late on the night of check-in, but the reception staff waited for me the whole time and escorted me to my room. The room was clean and spacious, the location was great, and it offered really good value for money. On top of that, the staff kindly gave me a free ride to the bus stop when I left. All in all, everything was perfect.

Hotel Reef House is located in an excellent position, just 2 km from the center of Marsa Alam. The property is welcoming and offers a pleasant, comfortable atmosphere for guests. A swimming pool will also be available soon, which will make the stay even more enjoyable. The owner speaks excellent English, is very kind, and has been helpful with every request, always ensuring a smooth and pleasant experience.

“Nice choice”

We had a wonderful stay at Reef House in Marsa Alam and would highly recommend it. We arrived on a very late-night (early morning) flight, and the owner kindly drove to the airport to pick us up, which made our arrival completely stress-free. The room rates are very affordable, offering excellent value for money. Upon arrival, we were pleasantly surprised by a welcome fruit platter prepared by the hotel, which was a very thoughtful touch. The hotel is located very close to the sea. In the morning, you can enjoy a beautiful sunrise and take a peaceful walk along the coastline, admiring the stunning views. In the evening, we loved watching the sunset over the mountains from the terrace of our room—it was absolutely breathtaking. Throughout our stay, the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, always doing their best to meet every request. They also provided great recommendations for activities and helped us arrange everything smoothly. The hotel offers rentals such as bicycles, ATVs, and diving equipments, all at very reasonable prices. Our room was spacious, well-equipped, and even had a lovely terrace, which we really enjoyed. Although the hotel is a bit outside the main city center, it’s still very convenient—you can walk, ask the staff to arrange a taxi, or sometimes the owner will generously drive you there personally if available. Overall, everything was excellent, and we would definitely stay here again on our next visit.

Reef House – Complete waste of time and money, one of the worst disappointments in Egypt! The room being okay doesn’t save it – this place is a trap. Avoid Reef House at all costs. Marsa Alam was my biggest regret in Egypt, and this hotel is a big part of why. Spend your money anywhere else – even a basic guesthouse would be better.

“Totally disappointing”

Warm weather and the Red Sea.

We found a family at Reef House! We stayed there 4 days. The place and around the place are not perfect, some organisation could get better, but here everyone made us feel just home. They helped us in everything, planning our trips and activities and many times we asked for a taxi they didn' t even call anyone: they directly took us to our destination. On my boyfriend's birthday we spent the day on a trip we organised with the guys of the hotel, and at night they prepared a birthday surprise for him: there was bedouin tea, local fruit and a big awesome cake we ate all together with the other guests of the hotel! The next day we had to leave at 6 am, but Amr was there for us to check out and say goodbye watching sunlight together. They are able to create true connections and bonds with and within their guests. We just can't explain how grateful we are for the esperience with all of them and really recommend anyone to choose Reef House. We will do it again 👍🏻♥️

Friendly staff

This is a new and well-run hotel with excellent service. The owner is extremely helpful and knowledgeable, and he assisted us with everything — food orders, transportation, and organizing our diving trip. It made our stay completely stress-free. There is also a diving instructor available, which is very convenient. The rooms are new, spacious, and very clean, with comfortable beds and fresh beddings. The staff are welcoming and hardworking, and the overall atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. Quad rentals are available on site, and all prices are fair and reasonable. A great place to stay, and we would happily come back.
