“We loved every minute of our stay!”

We had a very pleasant stay. The staff were always friendly, professional, and helpful. The Operations Manager, Mr. Mahmoud, was available via WhatsApp throughout our stay and was quick to assist with any questions or issues. During our holiday, both my mother and I became ill. The hotel doctor examined us and provided medication free of charge, which helped us recover very quickly. We greatly appreciated this level of care and support. All hotel facilities were consistently clean and well maintained. The pier provides easy access to the sea, and the snorkeling is excellent, with plenty of fish and even turtles to be seen in relatively shallow water. We visited Marsa Alam mainly to buy souvenirs. Apart from that, we did not find the town particularly attractive as a tourist destination. However, there are several good souvenir shops directly at the hotel offering similar products at comparable prices.

We loved staying here! Everything was as perfect as it just could be: nice rooms, very fast and efficient housekeeping, clean pools, entertaining team, food was varied and a lot! The sea was clean and there were several different types of colorful fish that we enjoyed to watch. Our 2-years old kid was so happy here! Especially I want to write about the staff members: what amazing people work here! We felt very welcome and thoroughly taken care of every day of our stay. Definitely a place to come back.

“Perfect all-inclusive experience for families”

All the facilities are maintained spotlessly and cleaned frequently which makes it feel very comfortable. The kids pool is my child’s favorite place to spend hours in every day. The reception Mahmoud was super accommodating and solved our issues with the AC immediately, and he always checks in on us to make sure we are feeling good there. All in all amazing experience and will definitely come again and recommend friends to go as well.

Best resort in Marsa Alam I’ve been to Egypt more times than I can count, and I can honestly say this resort is among the very best I’ve stayed at here. Spacious, clean rooms, beautifully maintained pools and gardens, and a beach right at front. Also a relax pool (12+) for all the people who like some quiet swimming pool. And a nice bigger pool with a small children bath and playground for all the families! Yes, 99% of the guests are Italian. But that actually means excellent coffee and no loud people. The main animation team is Italian, but the international animation team kept my daughter happily entertained in the mini club. Another win: no stupid ‘wine only at lunch or dinner and you’re not allowed to drink wine at the swimming pool or only at ‘happy hour’ at the bar’ Whoever invented those policies clearly never enjoyed a glass by the pool! The food is great! Every night some nice bbq options and the buffet has enough variety. The staff deserve a special mention, always helpful, nothing is too much trouble. Special thanks to Amr (lifeguard), who kept our beds always in the shadow to prevent we were burning and Mahrmoud & Mahmoud (bartenders), who always kept us hydrated! And the reception employees were extremely friendly too! Of course, no place is perfect. The beach bed reservation system could use improvement. By morning, the first two rows were “reserved” for rooms, yet not a single person in sight. It didn’t bother us since we weren’t beach loungers, but it’s something the hotel should change. The swimming pool towel thing is not a big thing here, but yes the beds are sometimes full with towels. Although when the pool beds filled up, staff always managed to find extra beds for us from storage. The resort even has its own doctor. My father had an ear infection, and thanks to quick treatment with antibiotics and drops, he was fine in two days. Snorkeling fans will love this: I spotted two big sea turtles between the swimming area and the reef.

“Amazing stay”

Gemma Resort is an amazing place to stay and offers very good value for the price. The location is perfect, close to Wadi El Gemal, with beautiful direct access to the beach. The hotel itself is lovely, and the rooms are spacious, comfortable, and very clean. The food was also great, especially the evening barbecue, which we really enjoyed. What makes this hotel even more special is the staff, who always go the extra mile to make your stay perfect. Special thanks to Hazem at the front desk, Mahmoud who kept our room always very clean and nice, Hany at the pool bar who made the best cocktails for us, and the animation team, who are the best I have ever seen. A special mention to the guys who always took the time to play with our daughter — she loved it! We will definitely be back!

“All in all, it was a pleasant stay with good value for money, but from a five-star resort I would expect much more.”

My stay at Gemma Resort was overall positive; however, there were some negative aspects that I don’t believe are acceptable for a five-star hotel. Let me start with the positives. The resort is large and very well maintained. Most of the staff are very friendly, always smiling and helpful. The restaurants offer a very varied buffet and the food quality is genuinely good. Compliments to the kitchen. From the very first day, the reception staff, especially the manager, were extremely helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. In fact he also kindly allowed us a very late check-out, which we truly appreciated.

Gemma is a beautiful resort, with easy access to the sea, clean swimming pools, great facilities all around, you feel comfortable and taken care of. Food was delicious, huge selection of local and european cuisine as well as great coffee! The reception manager Mahmoud Amer was very kind and welcoming. Would definitely reccomend to anyone looking for a Red Sea holiday!
