We loved everything about it- from the beautiful aesthetics, to the kind and friendly staff and the incredible breakfast and dinner on the rooftop. Wow what a place. We had a fantastic stay at Riad Soundouss! From the moment we arrived, Francois gave us the warmest welcome, treating us to mint tea with dates and biscuits and instantly making us feel at home. The riad itself is absolutely beautiful, full of traditional Moroccan charm. The peaceful courtyard and elegant interiors create a wonderfully authentic and relaxing atmosphere. Our room was spacious, spotless, and incredibly comfortable, with lovely thoughtful touches throughout. After a day of exploring, it was such a treat to return to the soothing scent of verbena from the oil burner. The only slight disappointment was the WIFI was patchy in our room and the beds are a little too hard apart from that everything was superb. Each morning, breakfast was fresh, delicious, and served with real care. The staff truly went above and beyond to make our stay special, always happy to help with arranging our airport transfers, and even arranging a memorable day trip with a private guide to the stunning De L’Ourika Valley. Francois can arrange all the trips for you. The location is ideal—close enough to easily explore Marrakech, with just a short walk to Jemaa el-Fnaa and Jardin Majorelle, yet tucked away enough to feel like a peaceful retreat. As soon as you step inside and close the door, the busy energy of the city melts away. One of our highlights was having dinner at the riad—highly recommended! We had both the lamb and Chicken tagine with prunes and almonds was unforgettable, and easily one of the best meals we had in Marrakech. Beautifully cooked in house. This is a must to try. 3 courses for just 25 euros. A special mention to Ibrahim who was absolutely amazing and nothing was to much trouble. He served breakfast and the service was fantastic. Riad Soundouss exceeded our expectations in every way. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for a truly special and authentic Marrakech experience.

Hosting was superb. The whole team make you feel very accommodated and welcome. Arrange transport to/from airport and cannot do enough. We had a day trip booked and they offered us an earlier breakfast or to provide a packed lunch. Super location in the Medina. Brilliant Riad.

Picked up from the airport and arranged drop off for our hired car. In the middle of the medina, so very central. No problem with baggage as they will come and meet you and carry the baggage for the short walk in. The Riad is an oasis in the medina, spotless and very quiet. Rooms are very comfortable and well serviced each day. Highly recommended.

When planning a trip we tend to worry about the selections that we make, with photos on the screen and descriptions often painting an inaccurate view which fail to meet the image within our minds. Believe me when I say this place did exactly that - it didn’t meet my expectations - it exceeded them. The only thing that outdid the stunning interior, comfortable beds, spectacular views from the roof top, and the food that I would be more than happy to go three pant sizes up for was the exceptional and welcoming service the Riad staff provided. I cannot begin to describe how truly amazing this hidden gem is, and how hard it was to leave. As a solo traveller I would recommend this to anyone travelling to Marrakech and would implore families and couples to stay here for memories that will make you smile on even the darkest days.

Jean-François’ riad and hospitality was second to none. We had a great time in Marrakech that was enabled by his help booking different excursions, the warmth and humour of him and his team, as well as the delicious, generous breakfasts!

It is an absolutely stunning place to stay. From the moment we stepped in till we left we felt we were in an oasis. The food was also exceptional. Such wonderful hospitality too.

Absolutely wonderful in every way. The reason why our stay at Road Soundouss was great, and better then the 5 other places we stayed at in Morocco was simple: Jean-Francois. His passion, presence, care and attention to detail ensured our stay was perfect.

The staff were so welcoming and supported my wife with where to get medical treatment when she arrived feeling unwell. There is a charm to the place. We have stayed in another Riad the second half of our holiday but preferred this one for sure. It is small so intimate and has a gorgeous roof terrace. The room was clean and authentic.
